Fiat Uno turbo was a dangerous car, small weels and brake.

You should see how they cheated with the struts upfront to make them handle better. You got to give them credit, they made it work really well in South Africa.

@@MLC... Ciao. They undoubtedly worked a lot on the front, but whatever you could do on that car, it started with a basic wrong design. Narrow and tall with small wheels. Even here in Italy, the cars made at Abarth to race, took abysmal gaps from the Peugeot 205 GTì, Honda civic, Kadett GSì etc. when on the track they ran in the same class, and in rallies in a higher class.

@@YuriBruschi Very true. I have been a passenger in a road going Fiat Uno Turbo around the same Zwartkops circuit. The handling was scary and my slower 116 Giulietta was actually lapping faster times around the circuit, due to much better handling.

@@MLC... If you only knew how many boys died on the street in the 90s with compact sports cars, especially the Fiat Uno Turbo, which was called the "coffin".

@@YuriBruschi It happened here in South Africa too. Better that the last few remaining Uno Turbo's now be in classic car collections for less dramatic use.
