A/E Coonhounds are not a quiet breed and are not for a 1st time dog owner or someone not experienced with hounds. I would recommend a tall privacy fenced yard as they are good jumpers and can run many miles before you know they've escaped.
A lot of the dogs in those pictures are treeing walker coonhounds.
A lot of these pictures are not redticks so please take this video with a grain of salt

Quiet?.....how about constantly moaning, groaning, whining and crying and barking....quiet?....only when sleeping!
