- 032424 - It was the time of the month again! (ew no, not that one lol) Join us as we dig through the So Cal Cycle Swap with Ervin and Bear. None of us were looking for anything in specific this month but what we did come across were a couple sweet bikes and awesome owners. Our favorite interaction of the morning was with this lovely lady and her late husband's Yamaha Vstar 250 (now hers). Whether it's one off parts, neat bike or awesome strangers, the So Cal Cycle Swap Meet never fails to provide.

the fender alone has Bear's bike lookin clean as hell, but the tank decals just made it look even more badass. rock n roll man. what a day indeed. 💯🤙🏽
As a VW trike owner myself, I love that you guys were turned up by that one at the meet. Would love to see more when you guys see them (The good ones from the 70's. Not the homebuilt ones out of square tubing with no body or style).
I remember seeing chrome front fenders on bobbers and choppers back in the 1960s. Not only do those fenders keep water and road mung off your face, but they give bike a retro look. I remember putting water slide decals on the sides of my panhead's 3 1/2-gallon gas tanks. Those decals were replicas of 1936 streamlined "bullseye" decals which H-D had on the sides of the first-year knuckleheads. Those decals were tricky to put on but having a spray bottle full of water helped out. Eventually, I had a pro body shop pal of mine shoot a gas-resistant clear coat over those decals. Those decals never lifted or yellowed. I miss the bike those tanks went on -- a 1958 Duo Glide which I mildly chopped. It had a trimmed down and chromed six over wide glide and acres of chrome all over the rest of the machine. With the exception of engine and transmission covers, etc., the engine and trans were wrinkle blacked. I concocted a paint color (a candy tangerine/candy red mix) which I had my pal shoot on the frame, swing arm and tins. I called that color, "California Sunrise Orange Over California Sunset Red." I need to find some snaps of that bike. Thanks for the video. Take it light. Ride safe. -- W

The tank decals and the emblem on the lower triple tree are sick. Crazy how a few quick add ons can transform a bike. Looks great brother. You guys take care and stay safe.

Bear's bike has a retro vibe to it now for sure, chrome front fenders came stock on many vintage British and Japanese bikes, again your swap meets are awesome!

Really!? Guess we gotta do a little more research on those, seen a few for sale around here fairly priced! Just hesitant on Brit bikes right now because we hear the wiring can be tricky

Norton known for winning races they still build them and sell them look them up online they try them for like rivals both very good Triumph did provide engines for Norton bikes not sure what years they did that I had a '1976 Bonneville 750
