  • I recently bought a Citroen C2, so I decided to make a video on it. In this video I review what you can expect from what I believe to be, perhaps, one of the most underrated cars of modern times. Is the Citroen C2 for you?

I am quite impressed with my 1.4i VTR. It is a car that I can actually still work on myself. Pleasingly reliable and very fuel efficient... I have only had some issues with the suspension, a blown fuse for the mirror adjustments, and water damage to the ECU multiplug (This caused an annoying breakdown and was a pain to diagnose, but a cheap and easy fix if you know something about PC boards and soldering). I manage to get anywhere between 14 and 22km/l depending on my driving...

Nice one. Seems crazy they stopped making these over a decade ago now. I bought a Code back in the summer and it's been a fun, reliable little runner!

Can't go wrong with a C2. They barely get mentioned nowadays, I'm always constantly recommending them, yes there's more reliable options out there even for the money, but for this era I'd argue there's no more bang for very little buck

Bought one of these, I’m 18 and it’s ideal. Cheap to insure and a pleasure to drive compared to my 116i. Runs on fumes haha

I was 700 for the year as a 20 year old with no NCB. Dirt cheap to run around in.

Yours is a little plusher than my 1.4 HDI Design, but mine is a 2006 with the newer dash. Lovely cars they are.

Good video man. I love these cars. Just reminds me of when Top Gear did the race between one and the ST150. I have an ST150 which I am doing up in my channel. Always had a soft spot for these. Don't see many around

Always had a soft spot for the ST150. Never driven one but would love to. My mate's mum had one when i was really young when they'd just came out and i remember being transfixed by the blue and white stripe paint on it and being so mesmerised as to how a car round the corner had the same paint job as JC off Top Gear's Ford GT

@@matthewmcgrath4271 I love the review on Top Gear that Clarkson gave. The 80s are back haha.
Yeh my first one I had many many many years ago was white with blue stripes and loved the GT stripes. Now I have a black one and going down the all black mean looking ruit. I have thought of putting Matt black stripes on though

might be buying a 1.6 one next week, would love to see some of the other features in action like the tailgate for example?

Car blew up on me in October so it's long gone. My advice would be try and get a diesel 1.6 if you can as they're hilariously economical on fuel and not bad on insurance and only £30 a year on road tax. Heard they do 70+ MPG

@@euangreenlees4294 As Matthew says you'll love it i'm sure. Still love mine after 8 months. A tiny car really but with the sliding/folding rear seats can be very practical. Heated seats lovely over the winter too! I'm driving mine to Germany later in the year so being able to change the entire dash to Kph is also a nice touch.
