      @rcreviews9894  Před 2 lety +2

      Yeah I think thats fast enough for an off road truck, I don’t really run my trucks on road unless I’m doing a speed run for a comparison, I don’t change the gearing either for that same reason, I think you will really be able to see the difference in performance between the two when I release the off-road comparison video of these two trucks, I had to break up the video into two parts, it was just too long lol, not sure people wanna watch a 30 minute video lol, stay tuned Part2 is coming soon! Awesome video man! Looking forward to hopefully saving up enough money for the V2 this year, as a 16 year who recently got a job at Six Flags! I originally wanted the X-Maxx but because it's so expensive and huge, I figured that I was probably just better off going for the Maxx considering it's an X-Maxx just scaled down!

    A little weight and a little tire ballooning was a factor but as far as stability goes, (for non-road vehicles) did they handle any different?

    • @rcreviews9894
      @rcreviews9894  Před 2 lety +3

      Totally different IMO, the Maxx is unstable at high speed straight away runs on the street, fighting the TSM with a violent chassis wag, tire ballooning being the culprit, off-road it’s way better but is notorious for traction rolling in as little as 10 mph turns, it’s faster than the Maxx V2 and that’s to be expected, the Maxx V2 is heavier because of the wider suspension and longer chassis, not to mention it’s running a 4s 6700, I haven’t tested it yet but I assume it’s going to perform better on the ramp too, again tire ballooning and a shorter chassis being a plus in this case, the Maxx v2 dominates in all other areas, in handling on road and off, stability on high speed straight aways, it traction rolls way less and because of the wider, longer foot print it’s better at take off and landing jumps, I have another video out today that just dropped, part 2, the continuation of this video, where we check out off road handling, have a closer look at the tires and batteries used in the run as well as a size comparison with Maxx v2 and E revo, check it out when you get a chance and thanks for watching👍

    Awesome content been wanting to see a comparison btwn v1 and v2 I have a v1 with wide maxx kit with stock gearing and got the same 53 mph interesting to see the v2 a little slower out of the box could be that they now come with a 23 t pinion instead of the 24 nice video…

      @rcreviews9894  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for watching, check out my unboxing video if you want an up close side by side comparison, I think the Maxx V2 is heavier, longer chassis, wider suspension and a bigger battery! • @rcreviews9894
      @rcreviews9894  Před 2 lety +2

      Yeah I think weight plays a big factor in this situation, with the wider suspension and longer chassis means a slightly heavier truck, not to mention I’m using a bigger 4s 6700 battery in the Maxx V2, I’m satisfied with the results though, it’s a off-road truck so that’s where I mainly run them any way, plenty fast for me 👍

      I thought about that, however since the Maxx V2 is built to accommodate that bigger 4s 6700 and although they are technically built the same with the obvious exception being the wider suspension and longer chassis, I wanted to run it the way it was meant to be run to get a more accurate comparison and really show the true differences in the two trucks

      It is true that programmable radios do have have more tunable options, I can’t speak on the one you are talking about cause I don’t own it but I’m sure it’s better than a stock Traxxas radio, a Traxxas radio is pretty basic, I have installed modules on some of my radios, mainly with 3 different trucks that I run a lot, that I want to keep a dedicated radio with, you can store multiple Rc’s and their settings on one Traxxas radio if you wanted to, the module allows the radio to communicate with the Traxxas app and allows for a lot more tunable settings and saved profiles as well as telemetry using the Traxxas app, so it kinda does the same thing as a programmable radio would for a lot
      Less money than buying a new radio
