    You sold my wife & I an ‘18 1.5 Touring (Accord). We LOVE it. Now, it’s a one-year only rare edition.

    I have 2018 Honda Accord 1.5 touring and I’m having massive amount of problems out of it so I think the real reason they discounting it is because it has a lot of issues and they can’t solve a lot of them one of them is the HUD makes noise when it’s hot outside and they still don’t have a fix for it so annoying ...

    • @zroger73
      @zroger73 Před 5 lety +3

      The HUD noise that some Touring owners have experienced is not limited to the 1.5T engine. It affects those with the 2.0T engine as well.

    • @ghostfaceny2714
      @ghostfaceny2714 Před 5 lety +1

      zroger73 yes of course it’s very annoying dude also the compass on the display keeps disappearing and you gotta keep resetting the system ... over all it’s a good car but the need to fix a few issues but great car none the less

      Hey my 2.0 Touring had the same rattle issue, I took it to the dealer where they installed a new dash and added some type of insulating foam under the HUD and it apparently did the trick. I’ve left my car out in the hot sun for hours many times after that, the sound has disappeared, thank god! Hope that helps lol

  • @zroger73
    @zroger73 Před 5 lety

    The Ridgeline you pointed out is not an RTL-E. It's either an RTL or RTL-T. The 2019 Ridgeline that went on sale back in March added the sliding rear window (and moonroof) to the RTL and RTL-T trims. Also, all 2017-2019 Ridgeline RTL-E's have chrome door handles, not body-colored door handles.

    I drove a 18 touring 1.5 today, I was actually impressed, and considering buying that trim. I was previously strictly a sport 2.0 guy.

      Very impressed as well. I've had a 1.5 Touring for 5 months. Coming from 2011 V6 they are close on power and the gas mileage is awesome. Great car, no issues. Love it!

    I tested the '18 Accord 1.5t Touring, but was really put off by the turbo lag and lack of power under 2250rpms. I went with the 2.0t EX-L (leased a few days ago!) for the same price as the 1.5t EX-L due to the current incentive from Honda. LOVE the 2.0t engine and 10-speed transmission!

    • @xxFallenKnight
      @xxFallenKnight Před 5 lety +2

      The 1.5 would have gotten better mpg but I ended up buying the 2.0t sport. A few dollars in gas is worth having a smile on your face with the 2.0t.

      I drove 45 miles the other day on the highway and got 46.1mpg!!! I set cruise control to ~58 and turned off the A/C. It was a comfortable 60 degrees out. Super impressed that I was able to get such great mileage!

    • @drivecfl
      @drivecfl Před 5 lety +1

      They should at least make a smaller amount of coupes. I bet with how little of the new 18 sedans they've sold if they still offered a V6 coupe they would have moved more units combined.

    If that Ridgeline is a 2019, then that’s a RTL-T. The 2019 adds the rear window on the RTL-T and the RTL-T doesn’t have a chrome door handles and the RTL-E does.

    Some people buy the 1.5 for fuel efficiency only and they don’t care for the power. So don’t hate on the 1.5 and btw it’s faster than the old 4 cylinder the 2.4L and more fuel efficient. You have options now. They don’t need to take that away. I sell 1.5’s all the time down here in Houston.

  • @LondonHasFallin
    @LondonHasFallin Před 5 lety +1

    I really think they should keep the 1.5L. Look at it from a MPG stand point. I want all the " bells & whistles" while also getting the best possible fuel economy. Plus Toyota has the XSE/XLE 4&6 cylinders....

    @Lenny7118 Před 5 lety +3

    I don’t like them getting rid of the 1.5 accord Touring, I like the 1.5 accord touring because it still has the Stick gear shifter and in the 2.0 touring they have that push button tech. I like the old school of having a shifter.

      @Randy Jackson I agree with you 100%, also I wonder what they were thinking when they got rid of the volume nob and physical buttons, it's just perplexing to me that such a fantastic company that makes practical, quality cars thought that was a good idea.
