  • HOW TO BUILD THE GOLDFINDER XTR METAL DETECTOR COILS. (PART 1) is a premium second part Interactive Video tutorial focused on constructing the Goldfinder Metal detector. See bottom of Description for The Gold, Coins And Treasure Ebook. My Goldfinder XTR Metal Detector has been very popular in the past, so I decided to create a series! As with Gold on the Beach 10 and Gold on the Beach 6 Platinum, we continue to provide helpful how-to videos and movies, with helpful hints and tips we have learned from our many Treasure Hunting Adventures. See our 10 live gold finds on camera and learn how and where to find Gold nuggets with our video, - how natural Gold occurs. Gold on the beach is always exciting, so come watch this show with premium content. See HOW TO BUILD THE GOLDFINDER XTR METAL DETECTOR COILS. (PART 2) Please note that this coil suits mono loop pi detectors types. The Barracuda will work fine with this coil design, but using .45 insulated wire works best. Take the quiz if you wish, or skip and only watch video. Interactive, Tutorial style, video. Please Note - I am not allowed to show you the circuit board because it does not belong to me. @Frederick Barnes: Goldfinders>> sorry mate but at 18:46 you told a well known porky pie regarding solder jointing! NO2 is the correct answer! regarding solder jointing NO1 is an incomplete solder and doesn't really require any spotting joint! NO2 is a domed solder joint this is the most secure and most less likely to cause any shorts and it also provides better current flow as there is a good amount of contact here. and NO3 is a failed or premature/miss-solder solder which requires a re-solder as this type of solder becomes brittle and breaks/cracks/fractures once solder cools and over time when current is passed through it and with atmospheric condition changes or carbonizing erroding etc but mainly when the solder initially cools and electrical current tries to flow through it, creating shorts or malfunction of components NO3 is a classic noob job and should always be avoided by DOMING* your solder joints. :) TAKE NOTE! :)
    ps the reason why manufacturers solder at no3 ie a motherboard or radio for example is to simply save time and money hence malfunctioning products are a thing these days because of the lack of solder as it is usually at these points a product burns out/breaks down or just dies via shorting out. pps the next time you buy a product tht has soldered pcb take a spec n check the solder points i can almost guarantee at least 3 points on all products are of no3 which causes the problems here in :)

    • @jamiemarsden3823
      @jamiemarsden3823 Před 2 lety

      ppps no3 also acts like a jumper meaning if anything conductive gets within range of the point a short will always occur where as NO2 being domed solder pin point covered the dome acts as a housing shielding that jumper point and any excess current flowing through the dome is dissipated via heat which is far safer then NO1 and NO3 combined! :)

    • @jamiemarsden3823
      @jamiemarsden3823 Před 2 lety

      best tips for perfect solder joints is to fix the part into place curl the legs then spot the joint before removing the excess material this way your points are secure and there is more contact for current flow :)

    At 19:36 there is a question with an incorrect answer... It the power wires touch each other like that, then you have a short circuit before the board, trough wich all the power flows trough, draining your battery fast, probably heating up the wire from the battery to the short(and even the battery if you leave it like that), but your board basically get's no power, so your parts are unpowered, not ovepowered or overloaded, so they should be safe and work well. However if you've got a short on your board, that could be potentially harmfull for your parts(also not in each case... that depends on where your short is).
