    i had my transplant the day after yours, i wish i knew sooner. i had 6500 fue grafts done in turkey after seeing 30+ results in person from the place i went, vera clinic. the procedure was around 4k and included hotel & transportation. Vera clinic was very professional and so far ive been happy with the result
    thank you for your vids, ive had the same concerns especially with the recovery process and it helps to know others are experiencing the same thing.
    For the swelling, light massaging your face and staying hydrated helps a ton,
    i’ve been researching finasteride for years and found the safest way to take it is either topically or by splitting the pill in 1/4 and taking that per day. (i’m also not a dr) i had some side effects when i took the full pill but none with the topical
    you look great!

      Thank you for sharing as I was wondering how much this procedure cost in Turkey. I am in the US in Texas and google states the average cost for this procedure here is $7500 to $9000 and thus going to Turkey might be a nice option for some. Here in the US we call it Medical Tourism when you leave the US for a procedure like this.

    Thanks for your video! Appreciate the insight as I’ve been worried about getting this transplant.
    Look into topical Finasteride. I have been on oral for about 5 years and switched to topical to help decrease the side effects. I feel you though, I was very apprehensive to start to taking it but after so much shedding I had to. I have been on the topical version for only about a month now so hope I still keep the results but with less sides.
    Anyway - looking forward to seeing how your hair progresses!

    I need one but Oml the lack of self control I would have with the itching and scabbing, it would driving me insane!!!!

    • @Gallucks
      @Gallucks  Před 7 měsíci

      It is crazy but it’s worth it in the long run :) I ended up just pressing my palm on the back of my head to soothe the itch 😅

    • @up488
      @up488 Před 5 měsíci

      It's really wasn't that bad, in my case anyway. I'm one month post op and had no issue with the scabbing. The itching was a little annoying at times but far from bothersome. I dunno, maybe I was one of the lucky ones.

    An option for the finasteride Joel is to take one pill every 2 or 3 days. This reduces the chances of side effects, and in most studies this still limits hairloss in most peope.

    what I don't get is why should I do a transplant if I still have to use fin and/or minoxdil or they will fall out again (which is still just a matter of time even with a transplant when fin stops working at some point) but why not just use fin and minoxidil then right away without a transplant and see if hair can grow back naturally (but then theres also still all the side effects). I don't know, doesn't make sense if you have to use these drugs no matter what even when you paid like 3k-5k for a transplant and still have a gamble of either actually keeping the hair or what sides you get/have to live with, even after that cost for the transplant. I don't know.. this can't be the best solution against hairloss, it's just like a band aid fix not a real solution against the cause I feel like. It's sad that in 2024 we still are not further than this.

      What you have to remember is everyone is different and there are many different types of hair loss, those with thinning hair can take minoxidil or fin and that can help to regrow hair where the follicles still exist.
      I have always had a widows peak hairline meaning there were never any hair follicles there to ‘grow back’ so a transplant was the best solution for me as now I have follicles there!
      Also in doing this and posting about it here and on instagram I’ve spoke to so many guys who have had hair transplants - some got a hair transplants 5 years ago and don’t take any drugs and their results have been amazing, some have had a hair transplant and taken the drugs and still lost hair, some have had a transplant and take the drugs and have retained all their hair.
      What I think is everyone’s body is different and responds to different things so it’s a personal journey that only you can figure out by trying different things!
      Hope that helps a little 😅

    Loved the video! Very informative! Did you leave your place within the 14 days? And if so, did you feel self-conscious about the bruising/swelling?

    • @Gallucks

      thank you! i went to the shops near our house maybe three times? only after the swelling had fully gone down though - i didn't feel self conscious at all!

    I think you look great with a buzz cut. You must feel self conscious about having your hair so short but it suits you well. Also I'm a barber so please take this from a professional.😁
