The looks on everyone's faces when the beautiful, talented Brandy was eliminated instead of the train wreck that is Bristol Palin still makes me laugh. Even Derek (who is no fan of Maks) had his mouth on the ground.
In 2018 I'm still mad. I think Brandy was asked years ago if she'll ever do it again I think she was still upset but I hope that one day she'll do an ALL STARS season. She was definitely robbed
Bristol's mommy used some extra power to get her daughter into the top 3...Brandy should've won. Period.
Brandy should have been runner up.
You really have to admire her grace considering she was totally robbed, and you can see how upset she was and yet she still kept it together
....Three years later, this still angers me. I have such crazy memories of this elimination, because my mom and I were both in complete shock and I kept screaming at the tv that this was rigged. And then I looked and saw the faces on Kyle and Derek's faces. Kyle looked as if to say "Well. That happened." Derek had the expression of literal "WHAT THE FUCK?"
So... to this day... ^_^ Curse the government.
+SoraLover1994 I hear you. I felt soooo bad for Brandy. She should have been in the finals and the reason she wasn't was Bristol and the GOP contingent who kept voting for her even though she didn't deserve it. She was caught in the middle of politics. So unfair. She deserved to win.
That season was totally political.... brandy was outstanding in all her performances.... Sara Palin was definitely involved in this dancing contest..... Bristol couldn't shine brandys shoes.......
This STILL pisses me off. The funny thing about this is you could hear the collective gasp from everyone in the room and they all had the same "what the fuck just happened" look on their faces. If Bristol had been honest with herself she would have stepped up and told the truth: that Brandy belonged where she was.

It just hurts my heart that Brandy who wanted this so bad and DELIVERED, was eliminated last night :( Whether or not she would've won the whole thing, we'll never know. But I believe she definitely deserved to be in the finals. Keep your head up Brandy

For me, the hardest elimination to process. Brandy was incredible all season and that week compared to Palin's sleepwalking being rewarded with inflated scores, Brandy was underscored for her first dance. I don't want to sound mean but for me that's how she looked when "dancing," and it was irritating to watch. Brandy put her heart and soul into every dance since the beginning of the season while Palin just whined and complained about how exhausted she was even after the judges started babying her with inflated scores. Sorry for my rant but it just pisses me off when people act so entitled.
Not to play devil's advocate, but pretty sure Brandy had tons of dancing experience before the show; hence why she looked so "perfect" in week one.
There's no doubt Brandy was a way better dancer than Bristol (my dog's a better dancer than Bristol.) But be fair: Bristol wasn't the only whiner. Brandy's pretty good at that herself.

Right up there with Sabrina Bryan in terms of shocking eliminations. I never thought a result would make me angrier than this, then season 27 happened.
Even today, watching this, I still can't get over the ROBBERY!! They should have been top 2.

Jennifer Grey deserved to win this season cuz she was terrific. Brandy should have been top 3 so she could do the tour!! Bristol sucked the entire time then they brought her back a second time!!!! Why????

This was the first and only season I ever watched, my original reason was for Jennifer Grey but I soon became addicted to Brandy/Maks. What happened that night was bullshit!

Maks & Brandy were "The Best" this season and were fantastic each and every week that we saw them dance. They really graced the floor with their wonderful routines and this made Maks more popular than EVER. The trophy should have gone to them, but to us, it has.
What I want to say is way too long for space (please see it on my Channel). For now I'm at a total loss for words.
PS: Why is a "non-star" in the finals and why is a "star" not in the finals? I don't understand and never will!

Until recently I've attributed Tom B's soft spot for Brandy to her being such an obviously lovely and sincere person but I'm now wondering if it's that plus Tom's knowledge of Brandy and Maks's bond/relationship since he has a great rapport with Maks and wants to see him happy. Thoughts?

I am not a fan of dancing with the stars but the reaction of that audients says a lot about the show. I would expect an audience would always applause this is the first time I have seen this. Well this is what going to happen, Palin is going to win. lol unless someone looks into the dealings and background of those judges before it is too late. Someone is pulling the strings here and we probably can`t even see it. what we can see is cheating.

It seems to me that there are people on this board who have never wanted anything badly enough to work hard for it. When you don't get it despite your best effort, it can be a huge disappointment. Most folks don't take the risk. Brandy pushed herself harder than she's ever been pushed in her life by training to be a real, professional dancer. She's a competitor who believed in "go hard or go home", and she didn't want to go home. I didn't want her to either. She was a vision.

We all know that Brandy should not have been voted off ! Bristol has no fire in her, and no passion for dance. She has potential, but you need feel what you dance. The solution is to give more weight to the judges. I heard that the judges only account for 30%. So voters have 70%... Maybe they should make it 50/50 so this happens less.
Even Tom knew that was a crock of shit.......Palin over Brandy?!?!?!?!?!? I know things happen for a reason......but that was like a kick in the teeth....so imagine how Brandy and Maks felt.
So, Maks will be in NYC for Thanksgiving with his family and Brandy will be in Philly for the parade. Possible meeting?

When it was announced that Brandy and Maks were eliminated, you can see Mark turning away a second later. Kind of reminds me of Sabrina and Mark's shocking elimination when Cameron and Edyta looked away in shame even though it wasn't their fault.

@MissPsychoisPsycho Well said! I ached for her during the elimination, but Brandy's shown such strength and grace in the interviews and appearances that followed. Bristol walks away from this with an extra week of dancing-by-numbers, and *maybe* a dollar store trophy. Brandy leaves with renewed self-confidence, new fans, and a choreographer for her videos who also happens to be her hunky new BFF who's by turn her defender, her rock, and her playmate. Of those two outcomes, I know what I'd pick!

I was really angry about this for several hours but then I just found all the reactions from the dancers and audience hilarious. I've probably watch this video 5 times in quick succession. XD Jennifer looks pissed like she might explode at any second and attack someone. I can't decide whose expression is the most hilarious. Everything else has been said. We all know that this season isn't about talent and passion for dancing.

Lil Kim and Derek should have won!!! They elimination was one of the most if not the most SHOCKING in DWTS history!!! The audience was booing and screaming whit dismay. Even Tom said how shocked and suprised he was by they elimination!
thats why everyone was pissed on Twitter tlkin about how Bristol doesnt belong to be dancing still when in fact, she doesnt belong to be even on the damn show. this show lost this viewer & im sure many more.

Don't get me wrong they completely deserved to win or at least be in the final 2 with Jennifer and Derek. But this was the season Maka really let the show/fame get to his head and while the judges/show are not without their issues, his comment about "this is my show, we make this show" and all that turned a lot of people of during that season so I think that's partially what got them axed before the finals. Again they should have been in the finals and Bristol made it way further than she should have, just that Maks kind of got served a slice of humble pie that season and got told by America "You're great but you're not that great."
@PaulieDi .... Maks said in his tv guide blog that he would not put Bran thu training for the freestyle because there's no point. He said that they will be there on Tuesday will all the other season 11 partners.
