I always assumed that since Obj277 was introduced, you said this tank is obsolete and not worth playing. Marty_vole on the other hand said that despite Obj277 has better speed and armor, WZ5A works better for him, cause it has 1.5deg gun depression extra and it works on many more positions.
For me tank is fine, I don't have Obj277, but every frontal penetration is ammo-rack (upper plate, front of the turret, sides of the turret). It was especially noticeable when playing team clashes and enemies were bad players with bad crews using rental tanks -> they exploded like a popcorn.
113 needs buff

I never understood why people like the 277 over this tank apart from the bigger cupolas. The gun feels so much smoother in some way and the faster reload makes it better in trades against other tanks.
Skill i wanted to ask you what you think of the different modes (assault/ grand battles.) I like to turn them on cause it engages different playstyles/ positions. But everytime i platoon with my clan and friends atleast someone complains that they are turned on.
Thats because of the common belief that most bad players keep all these modes activated.
277 has better frontal armor overall, better mobility so that you can take position faster, this tank aside of the dpm has much weaker armor so you have to be more careful and cat rely on it too much
111 5A has better depression and better DPM. Those are not small advantages for sure.

Great tank my only problem with this tank is that gold ammo ( just for me ) has 140 pen not 340! perhaps at maximum i pen 10% of the times, i relly relly dont know why but it is...
The gun handling of 111-5A never worked for me unfortunately…other stats are amazing for sure.
5A is a beautiful thing.Better than the 277 IMO. Esp now with a turbo.

Hi skill! Why are you not using the 3D style for the WZ 5A?
How do you cope with the cupolas? Do you just try not to fight other heavies close range?
second battle... not losing spawn, easier to defend.. spotter C4/ C5 and all in def.. from C4/C5 spotter can spot all incomers from ditch and from hill, also enemy standard spotting bush is coverred (if teammates shoot fron double bush it's win)

The gun on this tank trolls me more than almost any other tank.
I got the qilin, and honestly I really love it , a lot more then my 277 , early , it’s kinda on par with my vz

Hey Skill, why do you rate 5A as good but WZ-111 1-4 as epic? 5A got much better gun, better gun depression, and better armor?
Because he rates the tanks against their corresponding tier. WZ-111 1-4 is epic as/against tier 9, but WZ-111 5A is only ‘good’ as/against tier 10
This is my fav heavyum also and in my opinion Last Dragon camo looks better that QL one

No matter how good a tank the 5A is, I'd have to grind Chinese TT. No way I'm doing that.
idk, its not so bad imo, I grinded a while back so its prob bit worse now, only tier 8 sucks, but not like it has something bad or annoying, its just outdated
@@durachoks I have other lines to grind. Like STB, IS-7 or 60TP. Not wise getting too spread out.
@@pirig-gal STB line is way more frustrating...especially because the tier IX is less good than the VIII...feels like waste of time
Polish heavies is a great line from VII to X, constent improvement...smooth
Chinese one is cool, only the VIII is lacking but not THAT bad, playable at worst

@@bruhman5385 That's why I'm leaving STB for last. Currently have 50TP (kinda want to re-purchase 53TP for the purpose of marking it maybe), and IS-3 (i'm keeping it to maybe later get the 277). I may just gather enough blueprints to skip to Tier 8, and go from there.

@@billdover3165 lol, I have told him about this on his stream and he is fine with it. People have requested him to play specific tanks before many many times and those comments encourage him to play that tank at some point.
I still prefer this than obj 277 and is7 just bcoz of the -7 gun dep and accu and dpm

Is it just me or the last two games played this tank like a medium , and that probably cost him two defeats
5a and 277 are heaviums. They play better as a super medium than a true heavy.
I believe 277 has better turret and 5A has better hull, overall tanks are very similar
plus much better silver pen on 277

Skill is so unlucky when he tries to make a video for this tank. Every time he does a video on it the gameplay is just “meh” for his standards. So unlucky since the tank itself is so good and Skill likes it a lot
I recently finally 1 marked my 5A. Gun trolls me more than blesses me, but I still like it. Ofc, 277 has more over the 5A imo (based on observations because I don't have 277) but 5A is still solid.
Except when the entire hull feels like an ammo rack
277 doesnt have more over 5A, it has better speed and better armor, but is it enough to compensate for worse gun and dpm and gun depression?...
