Last year I was impressed with the vet recommendation to not move the dead baby and let Bell star grieve.
I just notice that the bison can switch from running forward to running sideways with out loosing a beat😅

My grandpa was a fish and game warden and a farmer . He has taught me to rip up the black berry roots and this will help you with the black berry bushes .

Have you ever thought that you could put "mobile fence" devices on your bison to keep them where you want them? I know they've tried it in Australia and my daughter, who is a botanist, thinks they'll try them in Eastern Oregon. It's a very interesting idea because it keeps you animals from overgrazing a certain area. You'd probably still need regular fencing.
Watching them run is like watching a cartoon!

I have a question does the buildup of calcium get larger as the seasons change and maybe transfer to the grass for red dog season for milk production for the females ???? while working at the aircraft co. in Wichita I had friends that took me fossil hunting discovering a large ocean once existed thru out central north America most of the clam and coral fossils were embedded in limestone(calcium carbonate), many i knew who had wells experienced very high calcium as well as salt . Looking forward to seeing the results of your soil sweeteners.

Dusty, how exciting it was to see Belle Star deliver her calve! I was rooting her on and saying you can do it. You can do it! And when the little legs started moving and finally was delivered. I was jumping up and down! Another first at age 68 watching a American bison give birth! Looking forward to watching this red dog, grow up with the herd! By the way, those little nudges… That’s God giving you that nudge to see this amazing moment and His way of saying well done my son for taking care of the animals I have put on this earth. ❤️😊👏❤️
