They should do a side story part for Joel to play and then the final chapter is a co-op map that vinny and joel have to play together
Co op how? Since there is no multipkayer.
Like there are 2 versions of the map and they have to communicate to get through it kinda like in We Were Here series?
@@shrub8644 they could kind of downgrade and do sven co-op, or a gmod map, that's all i can think of though.

i was kinda just hoping Joel would do a playthrough (the 2021 Pt. III Special was rad), so we could have an archive version where theyre each reading their own character lines. hell, they could then add those into the mod itself so the game essentially has full voice acting.
I love that vr has actually gotten Vinny to be scared of games since he usually doesn't even flinch

Can't say I wasnt a bit disappointed since the other parts were full of memes, but this is a fantastic short map. It seems its more a test for the alyx map making than a continuation to the other specials
Yeah, hopefully his next one tweaks what didn't work so well in this map and adds more jokes. Great start for a first VR map though.
vinny's despair at losing doodle dip got me.
I thought that this was really damn good considering how HL: Alyx is only about 6 months old or so. Granted, I know nothing about map making in any form, but it's still cool. Alyx is certainly going to the bar to follow for VR games moving forward and I couldn't be any happier that it exists. I don't want VR to be a "gimmick", so anything to push it further from that is great. And the mods are going to be sick as well.
IMO "gimmick" ended once consumer hardware became powerful enough to run something like alyx.

Would it be possible to upload VR stream videos in a VR -friendly format, like a 360 video maybe.
Not likely, most vr games probably unload things that aren't onscreen to save video memory, and that doesnt lend well to 360 video

Absolutely no disrespect for the map maker, I'm sure the map was hard work and is clearly high quality. But as someone who dislikes spooky maps and absolutely adored the previous one, this is a let down. The entire last map is just brilliant, from the floorboard peaking man to the dancing cockroach and basically everything else. The vineblinds and things like the shovel puzzle and reference graveyard made the map perfect
