  • Full review and demo of BABY AUDIO Crystalline - the next-gen algorithmic reverb plugin. VST, AU, AAX compatible.
    #Plugins #Reverb
    Baby Audio Crystalline is a beautiful sounding reverb with every option you could ever want to shape your reverb.
    Since this is an algorithmic reverb it's not meant to model a specific space, like a convolution reverb does.
    This reverb has more than enough parameters to create hundreds of different reverb sounds. Need something short and gated? No problem. Need something long and atmospheric? No problem!
    You can easily adjust the size of the space, increase high reflections, go from mono to super wide, shape the top and bottom of the reverb, add modulation, shimmer, and a lot more.
    Crystalline also includes ducking, to get the reverb out of the way, and reverse and freeze controls for the ultimate in reverb sound design.
    The interface is also quiet pleasing to work with, Baby Audio always creates innovative and beautiful interfaces - but, above all, this thing sounds amazing!
    What Crystalline can do for vocals is simply awe inspiring. And it works just as well on any other source. Create an immersive atmosphere for pianos, or an 80's gated snare, or a simple echo for guitar, or even a full on cinematic world for strings. It just works so well on everything.
    It also avoids that "metallic" sound of many algorithmic reverbs - and gives you full control over the sound of your reverb.
    Everyone should check this out 👍👍

    What do you think about this reverb? I find it incredibly smooth and natural and can be pushed into 'otherworldly' spaces - which you don't always get with algorithmic reverbs. They also avoid that awful metallic sound 😝
    If you are getting it during the intro sale you can get it straight from Baby Audio benoni.click/BABY-AUDIO-CRYSTALLINE BUT you may want to try Plugin Boutique since they always have bonus free plugins with every purchase www.pluginboutique.com/product/2-Effects/17-Reverb/8900-Crystalline/?a_aid=5dc896537a45c
    This one is worth checking out for everyone. They have a free trial on the site.

    It's on sale for another day. Snagged mine on the 4th of July for 50% off. This thing is so great because it has features that we would assume should be on many reverbs but they're not.
    Nice demo of what it can do.

    How did u thicken up the vocals? Multiple tracks? Doubler? Delay?

    I am so confused. I just bought the Baby audio. I don't even know where to start. I have cakewalk and know how to add VST's there. The only problem I faced is where the heck are the VST's at. I unzipped the file but it had no vst selections at all. Please help me out. Thank you.

    funny that you zoom in when this plugin can be resized very nicely and even bigger! BTW also works very nice with touch screen!

    • @BenoniStudio
      @BenoniStudio  Před 2 lety +2

      It’s easier for people watching on phones to see. Resizing the interface makes the text a bit larger, but zooming in gives me more control when editing the video. To take the time to resize the interface and move it around while recording a video will take longer and present issues when it’s time to edit the video together.

    Is this reverb good for pianos and synths?

    • @BenoniStudio
      @BenoniStudio  Před 2 lety +1

      It's good for everything. You may want to check out SPACED OUT too, the built-in delay can be really cool for pianos.

      @@BenoniStudio Thank you. Actually I'm using it with my old Roland D-50. I recently discovered some new presets for it that sound heavenly!

    These examples aren't lush, thick, complex, or deep enough for my taste, especially the tails. The width is nice, and it seems good if you're going for a smooth, wide, bright, thin, ethereal yet simple-sounding reverb that doesn't call much attention to itself. I imagine it would sound better in the context of a dense track. But it doesn't seem capable of doing what Grimes does in Miss Anthropocene (for example).

    Well… if you send chrystalizer to valhalla - you’ll get the same effects + if you throw ssl9000 plugin on top you’ll get way more control and don’t even have to spend 99$ on it. It’s whatever. Sounds good but pretty much any plugin sounds good these days.

      UVI's sparkverb is the only reverb plugin that makes my jaw drop with it's sounds and features. It does the natural to the unnatural sound designs. Right next to that iss NI's Raum. That's almost as killer.. But this baby audio one is just a regular reverb with some extra features. Zzzzzzzz
