I love how James and Robert are just gradually adapting their personality from their joint channel into their main channel. It's kinda like they're thinking "they already know what we're weird so we might as well let loose on our own channels"
I would definitely agree that the cookies n clean face mask seems a bit gimmicky for Fenty Skin, but it looks like a cool product! All the little gimmicks in skincare products also help motivate those with clinical depression, adhd, and other motivation-affecting disorders to use products, so sometimes they have a use beyond sales-boosting. :)
1000% as someone with mental illness fun things are what make me remember / motivation for me to take care of myself

Excellent point. As someone who lives with PTSD, I am a sucker for cute or fun products, applicators, etc. I will also add my own stickers or transfer a product to a cute bottle or something. My nighttime skin care routine is absolutely for my mental health as well as aesthetic or physical. Maybe even most importantly for my mental state.
You just hit the nail on the head as to why I couldn’t figure out why I’m always able to force myself to do my skincare twice a day with my high end products that the packing feels luxurious but anytime I try with budget items I loose motivation quickly and i end up wasting it all, and I’m 33 I’ve done that cycle many times as I have ADHD.
I did snort laugh at the “it’s 80 quid, I’m gonna use it”
Currently burning an expensive candle that I do not like because it was expensive 🙄

The Pat McGrath essence was sent to my daughter in PR and she couldn't use it! It irritated her cystic acne and made her miserable. 😔
But...she gave it to me and I absolutely love it! My skin is soft and glowy and feels so fancy!❤

I freaking love the perfection doesn’t exists when done with so much gusto, and I have the same problem with being made to buy! Happens all the time, now I have a bunch of stuff I don’t use! Lovely! And 100% agree about the gentry thing, looks like something I would have bought at limited too when I was 10. Lol.

PSA: Pat McGrath often has sales - sometimes even 30% off. Since this is a new product, the essence probably won't be in the next sale but it could very well be in the sale after that. So if anybody is curious about the essence, I would wait for the sale (that's my plan anyway).
A good way to keep clay masks from drying out you skin is mixing in some hydrating serum or essence in with it before you apply it to your face. This is also a great way to use products you didn’t particularly care for or are on the verge of expiring. Also the isntree hyaluronic acid essence has that same type of milky texture and gives you a nice glow just like the Pat McGrath.
I’m so happy that you mentioned the sunscreen for the under eyes. I’m so curious about this since I have very sensitive eyes. I’ll have to try it out!
i am not one to leave comments on youtube. i don’t know why, but i just neverrrrrr have. but i just have to say that days where my thoughts are overwhelming me, i love putting on one of your videos. you have such entertaining, informative, welcoming and calming presence! it’s like being able to body double. sometimes doing boring things is ~literally~ impossible for me. but this helps me pay attention to my work & whatever it is i need to be doing. but not distracting!

I like first impressions of skin care, because this was fun to watch and it's good to hear about first applications and learning curves, as well as things like fragrance and texture that you can know immediately. I'd love to hear how the eye spf works out for you!
James, you should follow your own advice for your dry skin. I'm 62 and if it wasn't for you I would have dry skin but it is very very dewey, soft and plump. My latest purchase on your advice was the Papa Recipe Blemish serum although I have no blemishes I think there are properties that my skin will appreciate. Once again thank you thank you thank you for a perfect complexion 🥰😝
I use the Fenty Cookies n Clean as a treat myself time skincare, I love how it doesn't dry me out & satisfies my popping urges for the charcoal granules. Gimmicky maybe but a lot of fun! 😊
The algenist alive prebiotic mask is my favorite clay mask it stays so creamy and doesn’t dry down at all and leaves skin feeling so soft and moisturized
As someone who has been wondering how to protect my eye area since I've started using a retinol eye cream, I'm so glad you showed off the Hello Sunday cream! I immediately ran to grab it, along with the primer. These two products are exactly what I've been looking for!

I was wondering if you'd try the Pat McGrath essence, just out of curiosity as it's too pricey. I went from oh god, why do we need an eye sunscreen to *finds it online* in 10 seconds flat lol. Yes please update us on the eye sunscreen!
Not gonna lie you have basically saved my sanity so many times with your advice and reviews! As someone with cystic acne and very oily skin but an occasional sensitivity and dry flare up you've made it sooo much easier to find a good routine that works for me!!!
I got the Keys serum to test from Vogue beauty and I haaaaated it! You're right about the mica, it seems sooo glittery and I tried it under makeup and I still hated it. It felt like it just sat on top of my skin too

The Pat McGrath Essence sits so beautifully under my makeup as well, I have found. I have dehydrated skin so I don't mind a bit of slick in my skincare though. My face usually absorbs it pretty well. I used to use Dr. Jart+'s Radiant serum as a makeup base before but this has replaced it.

Well, at least you found an excellent "Glass Skin" combo trick! You almost can use your skin as a mirror with that essence and serum!
I use the Super Goop Bright Eyes for the same reason, love chemical sunscreens but sooooo many burn my eyes. Will have to try the Hello Sunday to compare!

"Welp, that isn't perfect, but is progression because perfection doesn't exist". Yup, that is just a life motto at this point and thank you for bringing that into my life. Did you see Glow Recipe is having a Pride limited edition of the watermelon toner and all proceeds go to LGBTQIA+ (up to $30k). I was about to buy my first full size and this came at the perfect time.

The PMG Essence.. sounds like Paula's choice Enriched Calming Toner, but a bigger size, less expensive without fragrance. As a fellow oily skintype with rosacea-gal, I love the PC one at night. Hydrating and calming without the grease!
Wowwwww that hello sunday eyes spf was 😍🥺🤩 I usually wear a regular mineral spf around my eyes because of the stinging that the chemical spfs give me! But I crease a lot under my eyes and eyelids so throughout the day I find white lines all over 😭 but that spf you tried looked so good!! I hope to try it one day, I'm not gonna lie I try to spend as little as I can on spf because I buy so oftenly 🥴 love you James ❤

The Hello Sunday spf 50 especially for lips is very nice too. A clear balm that is a bit moisturizing but dries down to nothing. And it doesn't taste like anything!

I feel this way about the Ceuracle Kombucha. Very nice, but far too oily for me right now. It will be so good when the weather is cold and dry, though.
The pat mcgrath is lovely but for those looking for something in the same ball park , fresh rose 🌹 oil infused serum which is glow in a bottle or neogen rose essence are fantastic

I've never gotten on with Hello Sunday as I find their face sunscreen pill A LOT, and their other sunscreens have aloe, which I'm allergic to. I'd love to try this eye sunscreen though as I have ridiculously sensitive eyes.

OH LET ME PLEASE TELL YOU. I adore these products. They are not only just beautiful to collect (if you’re like me, and love a nice cohesive routine) but they smell incredible. I use the Golden Cleanser in the mornings as sort of a basic wake up, the Harmony Mask once a week (it’s more of a luxury but makes my skin so soft and not dried out), the Luminous Exfoliator, which is a powder lactic acid exfoliant which is so nice for a big refresh, and the body creams are amazing too.
WOW that's a glow 😁 Mica is going to glow in the dark. I will try this. I'm 52 and looking for a great glow without the tacky feel. I need some suggestions and help🥰

Keep me up to date on the eye sun screen! I don't know if I have a sensitivity or something, but I find that 2/3 hours after all over sunscreen application, I feel grainy and oily with stinging crying eyes. I have tried sssoooo many face sun screens that claim to be gentle enough to use anywhere and stripped back my morning routine to make sure it's not other products. And it just doesn't work! To the point where it's so tempting to only put sunscreen above my eyebrows and below my cheek bones... I don't because I know I need to protect my skin after exfoliating but it's so hard! So yeah I need a update 😍

I love hello sunday, I sweat a lot during summer and the everyday one has the perfect texture for my skin ❤️ It absorbs so well and doesn't become a gloopy mess if I sweat, I would love to try the one for your eyes but I am afraid the texture would be heavier

I like the idea of the Fenty Cookies and Clean face mask, but I wish it was premixed with the charcoal evenly distributed through the product.
Can you review the Proactiv brand? After going through dozens and dozens of skincare products it was the only one that managed to clear my skin up and I was wondering what you thought? The only downside is it makes you very very sensitive to Sun, and you have to have a extremely hydrating moisturizer.

A+ for enthusiasm in today's video. I enjoyed it. We all want to feel fancy. It is funny how we don't want to like a product but end up loving it and it's almost always $$$. I can see a difference with that sunscreen, you're not wishful thinking. If I can get it in Canada I will be buying it. I've been half hating on the Glow brand, no reason really, maybe just that it is so hyped? I think I'm going to bite it and try a few things, I hate watermelon though, for me it is what rose is to some; gross. Cheers

The sunscreen eye cream thing is interesting me a lot because it's more protection for your face BUT there are so many sunscreens that just burn my eyes like crazy even though I try my best not to put it too close to the eyes (which I shouldn't have to because every part of your face needs protection) so I'm a little worried that this would do the same since you're putting it around your eyes! plus I have eczema around my eyes and a lot of skincare products burn the areas where I have those issues!
I have super sensitive eye area when it comes to sunscreen especially, and everything so far, except the e.l.f. Holy Hydration +spf, makes my eyes water... mineral, non mineral both make my eyes cry so your opinion on various eye sunscreens (especially available in America) would be super helpful. I hate to keep shelling out money just to have my eyes gush water and look horrible over and over, and thus need more eye serum without any make-up to calm the area down again. 😭😭😭
I love the idea of the sunscreen for the eyes but I don't hate the stinging enough to spend more money buying a separate cream just for my eyes y'know? Otherwise it did look really nice and I also thought there was a difference after you applied it!
