In 1976, I was 16 years old, this 76 Cadillac Coupe looks very nice. I remember when you put $10.00 in gas, you would get 16 gallons worth of gas. This car brings back very pleasant memories. Thanks for sharing this video.

@@vincentvega8210 I guess you're saying that when your dad got buzzed, he'd let you drive him home (you being unbuzzed I presume). Reminds me of the scene from "Honky Tonk Man"(1982) with Clint and his son Kyle Eastwood. The underage boy was driving around with his drunk father riding shotgun in the middle of nowhere in 1930's Oklahoma, when they got pulled over because the boy was not old enough to drive. So they switch seats. Now honky tonk roadhouse performer Clint drives drunk all over the road with Kyle riding shotgun. They get pulled over again by the same cop, who says "Let the boy drive."
BTW, does anybody know what year, make, and model of that fancy car they were riding around in?

I have been in a 1981 Rolls Royce and a 2001 Rolls and the 1976 Cadillac is smoother. It is simply the best long-distance car that was ever made. Those who have never ridden in one have no conception because there is no way to reference the ride. It is simply number one.

My 76 had the mini chrome cap over the grille with the goddess on the hood instead of the Cadillac crest. I had tru spoke wheels with center spinner caps. With the 1 inch wide white wall. The real eye catcher was that I had my side fender skirts in CHROME. The car was straight as a pin! Oh what memories! I LOVED MY COUPE DE VILLE!!

Cadillac! Beautiful! They don’t make them like this anymore! This body style was from 1974, 1975 and 1976. 1974 was the last year Cadillac used round headlights. Also new was the fact that the side rear windows don’t go up or down on the 2 door DeVille! Only the driver side and the passenger windows go up and down. For 1975 and 1976 they used rectangular headlights. This gave the Cadillacs a more modern look. 1976 was the last year for the full size Cadillac DeVille. The Cadillac Eldorado managed to hang on full size till 1978.

As much as love these boats, the closer I get to finally deciding to pull the trigger on something that really isn't practical for daily transportation and is more just an object I enjoy that happens to move as well, the more I realize I just don't live in an area that supports them. That is, the roads, the lane widths, the parking spaces at the grocery - nothing fits. We've taken chunks out of lanes for bikes, etc., the lots were re-striped for cars that are smaller than even what most folk drive today, and I can't even imagine wheeling one of these around my parking garage at the office :( Inner suburb of a major eastern metropolis, sigh.

Man, there is some serious length on these types of sedans...but there so short that some of the illusion of pure massive size is taken off by how short they are. Everything else is immaculate but that 60's-70's land carpet look just kills it for me when it isn't alone by itself. I'm 6'3, so I practically peer over the roof of the Automobiles. Even the tall base 1973 Imperial Lebaron although massive and longer than this model at 235 inches, or the 1971 Cadillac which was 250 inches long still can't retain that absolute size I wished they had. Now a 1954 Imperial was a big big car, longest variant was 17 feet, but 83! Inches wide! Wider than any vehicle in the 1970's strangely.

Gas here the highest octain available is 92 and it got lots of ethanol ol in it at the same price
Now non ethanol gasoline at 95 octane could very well be worth $7 a gallon it would burn slower last longer offer better power and run cleaner. Us gasoline is crap no power and eats up metal fuel systems to make you buy new cars. To drive old cars here you have to buy gasoline near lakes sold for use in boats because the water is attracted to the alcohol in the automotive gasoline and ruins boat engines .insurance compa is for tired of buying boat engines so the refineries had to make non ethanol available for boats.in places not near lakes it's illegal to sell it because there so much profit selling corn alcohol spiked gas ment for 2006 or newer cars.als it pollutes worse the plain gasoline but makes big bucks for farmers growi g corn. @@VintageVaughnVehiclces Hello, no we don`t have 87 oktane minimum is 95 oktane. And this with 5% or 10% alcohol in it. I only use 95Okt./5% because affraid of corrosion of all aluminium parts that dispense gas to engine, like carburator or injection. 98 octane is the next step followed by gas with 102 octane, called Ultimate, both without any alcohol I think. This is for newer high output engines like Porsche or other like this with 400 HP or more. But for Ultimate You have to pay more than 10$ per gallon. Silly, isn`t it ?
So a lot of driver lets install a aditional tank and use propane instead. It`s half price to 95okt./5%, but first You have to pay for installation of this and it could easy cost over 2000$. So it is only interesting for mileage eater.
Germans also likes diesel engines. The price it around 6$/Gal.
