Do you have any suggested encrypted cloud storage servers?
Face to face conversations are about as private as it gets. Phone calls are susceptible to eaves droppers and texts can be hacked. Keep your secrets to yourself.
As of August 2022 FB has already set up Messenger for end to end encryption as a default. Look through your settings just in case but it should already be there.
How do I go back to my to my chats on whatsapp if they are encrypted and I did not enable any encryptions
When providers hold the encryption keys the messages are not truly secure. As mentioned, an entity (usually governments) can request the messages be decrypted with the provider's key.
Signal is the only app mentioned here where the encryption keys are only held by sender and receiver.
@Chatsta If the keys can be extracted by a keyless recipient, they could be extracted by anyone.
That's why you use end to end encryption
It's wild that in the year of our lord 2023, end to end encryption isn't a standard baked in feature on all communication platforms.
My messages are incredibly boring and I still want to make sure they never leak. Why? Because if you aggregated all the messages I ever sent, you would know all my financial stuff, medical stuff, job/hobbies/address, internet accounts, etc
That is basically begging for problems to arise in the future. You know who doesnt have time to deal with something like identity fraud? Me.

I have been looking everywhere for a video that gives step by step how to DISABLE this? Someone I turned on end to end encryption in a messenger chat with my friend and I CANNNOT turn it off. Can someone please HELP!
Just delete the whole conversation that is encrypted after that just search your friend's name and start a new coversation.
