    Deer love the flowering tops. I have planted for the deer & have mine along the side of the house. When they bloom I move my potted plant collection in front of them to thwart the deer. Hummingbirds love the nectar late into the fall. We have Anna's, they do not migrate.

    • @Backyardprojectguy
      @Backyardprojectguy  Před 15 dny

      Yes you can ..But you will not get the growth out of it this year..It will develop a root base for next year

  • @edwinfurlott6050
    @edwinfurlott6050 Před 2 lety

    I really liked the plant splitting technique but we shouldn't put top fertilizer in the hole with roots or with seeds it will burn use pre fertilized dirt for best results I've done the same thing before it didn't seem to have a problem but I was told that it can burn the roots and kill or shock plant if you put too much😏

    • @Backyardprojectguy
      @Backyardprojectguy  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes you can...But they will do nothing this year and probably wilt away..They will need to build their root base so they can come back next year. they should come back just fine..Good luck planting..

      Thank you for the easiest instructions I've found. Prior to this video I watched one which showed having to painstakingly pull each root base apart (Mine are far to big to have used that method and almost gave up the notion of dividing them). I always assumed Sedums were very resillient. Your video confirms this.
