Why Landscape Photography? Why the Lake District?

My friend Margs is about to celebrate her 30th birthday. This has had me reminiscing about my 30th birthday, which was a very long time ago.
I celebrated my 30th in Grasmere, here in the Lake District. It was the first time that Helen and I had visited the Lake District together and was the beginning of a journey that would last for 8 years.
In order to mark Marguerite's special anniversary, I revisit Grasmere to capture an image just for her. In a nostalgic mood, I also share the story of how I became a photographer and why I only ever shoot in the Lake District.
