Trades can help enough to make the playoffs though . If they atleast get a closer and starting pitcher they can shuffle the bullpen and add schmidt or gil to the bullpen . Then the offense wont have so much pressure on it .
Same thing happened in 22. Bad contracts, no bench, well bench players starting, pitching staff fatigued, GM brings in players DFA’d by Oakland…let that sink in… garbage 🗑️.
They’ll squeeze in the playoffs and get beat early.

Carlos Rodan fooled alot of people by pitching well in the AL central beating mediocre teams with below average offensive players. Now he's in the big city playing teams like Boston , Baltimore , hell even Toronto playing poorly this year embarrassed him tonight scoring 5 times before he registered a single out.

He just repeats what happened in a losing game and whitewashes bad play by his team. A worthless interview who looks like he's afraid of his players. Rodon and the Yankee pitchers are putting way too much pressure on a compromised, challenged offense, by burying the team in the 1st - 2nd inning. The offset right now is minor league caliber, absent the 1st 3 in the order. The problem with Boone, is he is not capable of doing things to turn things around, not able to think outside the box. Where the Yankees are going, is down the toilet. They may be 5 back or the Orioles in a week.
