      Dear Professor Jordan Peterson. I am writing to you from Hungary. I am writing because I want to shed a different light on discussions about Marxism. Considering that you are a professor of psychology. Speaking from experience, as someone from an ex-Marxist country. I miss the human factor in discussions. Because this is the main reason why there can NEVER be a functioning Communist world order. For a simple reason. Psychology. For several reasons...: 1.: In order to achieve "equality", very strong governance is essential. Why? Because no one wants to give up everything that has often been achieved over generations.
      2.: As soon as you give unlimited power to the government, because there is no other way to achieve this. For no one gives up his wealth unless he breaks many bones. They did this in Hungary. 100 years ago. The communists broke bones to take the land, houses and property from everyone.
      3: Once you give someone unlimited power, they will legitimately become paranoid. And he will do anything to protect his power. It wipes out anyone who poses a threat to it. That is why more than 100 million people died because of communism.
      You are a psychologist. You understand human thinking better than anyone.
      Next time you argue with a Marxist, refer to what I wrote. Because this is experience. All of Eastern Europe and the Balkans are history!

They all could lower there dependency on Russian fossil fuels and Russia might in the end have to stop fighting it's wars. But what kind of foreside would that require from a government that is unable to make the math of declining fuel revenues (yeah put a cap on everything) and the inability to provide pensions for Canadians in the near future.

    I can attest to the fact that "solar" power is not as green as one might think. I live in the Summer at an off grid little patch of heaven, and bringing in electricity is expensive, so I elected to have a little solar power instead. It is wrong to call it a "solar" power station, more like a "battery" power station. Without batteries you cannot produce enough power from the panels directly, nor have enough stored for nights, dusk, dawn, or rainy or cloudy days. It is a small solar system, only maybe 300-400 watts (and you never get all of the rated power from solar panels...) but also 4 lead acid deep cycle and now an additional lithium battery I added this year (which is the way to go, the lithium is equivalent to about 3 of the lead acid batteries for fuction and even more for durability!) But when running a pump to pump water, even during the sunny day, you can see the 250 watts being drawn draining the batteries, despite having more power input into them. After shutting off the pump, the batteries quickly return to their fully charged state in the sunshine, but the point is that it is a BATTERY power plane that is only charged by solar. And we all know how dirty batteries are to the environment and our resources - imagine ramping that up to power thousands of homes, instead of one little off grid place where I carefully monitor the power. Occasionally I have to top up the batteries with a generator on multiple couldy or rainy days using a gas generator. This is the crux of solar. Now if instead of batteries we used the power to pump water to a higher elevation, then use the falling water to turn turbines to make power on demand, that would be far more efficient, but still has a lot of losses, but less harmful than batteries, and much less expense down the road of replacing expensive batteries. It takes up space though, and power needs to be generated close to where it is in demand, otherwise there are even more losses due to distance. And space is more expensive in cities. Position them just outside cities, near a river or lake, however, and you should have the best possible scenario. The only other viable option is flywheels, but there are dangers and difficulties with those, although they take up far less space and likely are safer than Lithium batteries when you factor in possible fires and explosions. So what is the best green energy? Nuclear - always has been, and always will. We even have the ability to use spent rods to continue to power smaller reactors, and I am sure if we focused our R & D we could make it so that there was virtually no waste and no risk of danger with these plants, despite man's fear of nuclear due to the "bomb" part. Consider how safe you are with your butt strapped a foot away from ebike batteries that could catch fire or explode at any minute and ask if that is any safer than heavily regulated nuclear?

      Very well put. Most people don't know any of this. This ignorance is due to the fact that the government and media do not inform people. And if it isn't in the readily available media, then it isn't true. It is conspiracy theory.

    • @johnsmithers8913
      @johnsmithers8913 Před měsícem +1

      Wind and Solar will always need a "ghost grid", hell, a ghost infrastructure based on fossil fuel" as the back up generator. There will always be weather events where little green energy is generated. A modern civilization, simply can't lose power for a day, let alone three days. Therefore you would need non-green power plants to jump in for those days. You can't just switch on power plants, so you would have two gross operating simultaneously. How this would be considered environmentally friendly is beyond me.

    If even a small percentage of voters from Ontario and Quebec would wake up and see reality, then we would be able to turn our country around economically and be ‘energy leaders’ in the world. And, as a not so fringe benefit, we would be one of the wealthiest nations in the world, with the entire Canadian population enjoying these economic benefits for generations to come.

    I'm shocked at how many people call her unintelligent. She's one of the only premiers paying attention to what's happening outside of Canada. Many of our politicians are in an echo chamber and seem to think they know better than the rest of the world. It's insane. Whether it's energy or the trans agenda, she knows what she's talking about.

    Being honest with our selves- how many times do we only want to be seen as those who are helping and caring for the right thing, as the saviours without being willing to actually make personal sacrifices and do the work ?
    This is an essential and crucial check of our motivations. Dr. Peterson really nailed this.

    Our Premier Danielle Smith is very intelligent. Its sad to see how many ideological progressives have gotten into politics. Where are the potential politicians who are responsible, competent and pragmatic? We need more politicians like Smith who understand the issues and are actually serving the needs of the people.

    When solar and wind energy came on the scene, I thought it was a great Idea. I thought, when they talked about government subsidies, it would be given to individual homeowners to equip their homes with these items to augment what we already had. Not to huge companies to create ugly solar farms where food should be grown, and those great wind trubine monstrosities that blight the land. This is just another time that government got it all wrong.

    Actually, pushing borderline families under the poverty line IS one of the objectives of the populist left, not simply a side effect or oversight. The more poor, the more promises they can make to end poverty. Oldest trick in their book, they've been doing this in Latin America forever.
    Poverty never ends no matter how rich the country is.

  • @Foerdi94
    @Foerdi94 Před měsícem +1

    Lets take climate change on face value, all I can say is: By the success of the anti-nuclear (and fossil fuel lobbying) the Western world did not take the nuclear option that France did persue to get out of the oil trap that so dangerously showed itself with the Arab embargo. Massive amounts of CO2 would not have been emitted making the rise of China, India and the rest more manageable in terms of "CO2 Budget", but also a running nuclear power plants production industry which did not restrict itself to just improving the know types of reactors that got approved by regulators the activists took over. Yet we did not do that, not that anybody would call that "historical sin"...
