I would love to hear more from Steven and Carrie about the challenge design and how they decided locations, timing, rubric, ect. Maybe interview them on the podcast? Well done guys!!
Around 47 minutes in the hotel room discussion brings up something I always struggle with, especially for urban stays. Hiw valuable really are things like free breakfast/dining credits. Certainly a huge breakfast buffet at a resort saves me a lot and I can ride it for most id thr day and just nosh for dinner, but for urban travel id I am just as happy with a coffee and a quick bite, both the amount food and time spent seems wasted. Likewise I had those "well I have to eat at the hotel" moments using my FHR/THC benefits and it can end up feeling weirdly stressful.
There weren't "right flights" that the contestants could've picked as it was dependent on what availability was there on the dates they needed to book. I (Stephen) had done research ahead of time to make sure that there were flights available that could get them to their destinations in time for the livestream check-ins, but there was never any guarantee as to which flights they'd actually be able to book.
