Fun fact. Kamakazee was originaly not the piolates crashing themself. It was a huge storm at sea that saved Japan from loosing a famous war. The word kamakazee means devine storm. And the fact as he refers to a typhoon in this song is awsome.

I keep coming back to your eminem reactions because you are catching some stuff I and the other couple reactors I follow haven't. It's a testament to eminem as a tenured professor of hip hop and rap PhD that his music has been dissected for years at this point but still allows for fresh insights because not any one person can truly break it down alone without extensive time and effort to research and get the context of 30 years of rap that's frequently referenced not to mention all the own issues he's had personally coming out in the lyrics as well.

I felt the same way about the beat. I didn't like it at first but as the song went on I started really enjoying it. One of the things I really admire about Em is his willingness to take risks, and this is a good example of that. Especially when he was already being hated on so hard for Revival. Speaking of Revival, I have this theory that he intentionally put out a terrible album just so he could follow it up with Kamikaze. He made his best music when everyone was against him and I feel like he may have intentionally put himself back in that spot to fuel his creativity and kinda... Re-awaken the beast.

I might be wrong though but most of his banging beat songs don't have that many doubles.
I also find that if you focus on his flows in those other songs, the wack beats somehow blend in nicely to many of them 😂
