Wow. I didnt get the two rails you show at 9 mins plus with my ikea slakt bed and the slakts kept falling off in many times. I kept thinking it was due to some mistake I did while assembling or a design issue! You resolved a 2 year mystery for me!!

Thanks for making this video. I saw that another person took about 5 hours to assemble this so I was a bit hesitant to give this a try. I followed your video and it took about an hour to assemble both the bed and the extender. Used power tools. Thanks again.

Hi I wish to know if you can help me with the size of dowel pins and the screws. I shifted homes and misplaced some screws and dowel pins that were removed while disassembling. Trying to order from amazon. Also which electric screw driver brand are you using please?
Ikea have spare screws and fittings if you need just give them name of the item. All links for tools I'm using in the description.
Hi, I’m trying to put the rails and yeah the screws are really small, I saw that you put them on diferente holes that the manual said and also doesn’t it come just with 5 screws? I think you would need 6 to do it your way… I would appreciate the help thank you!
i had a lot of trouble with this part as well. i ended up using some longer screws that i had from other projects because at the point where the two rails come together, the screw would not come through the second rail.
i don't think these parts are altogether necessary for the stability of the bed. they seem to be really flimsy.
I’m literally having this problem right now and went on CZcams for some help! I thought I was missing a screw or lost it when I watched the video but now I know for sure it just came with 5. I don’t know why the included such tiny screws! They really should make it a bit longer

I hated to build this bed A LOT, the rails and their screws suck :( but at least I made it and now I'm sleeping on it, lol.
Interesting. This one is one of the easier Ikea beds to build.
the rails and screws were the worst part. if the screws were just a couple mm longer, it would have been easier. i would have liked a bolt and wingnut solution.
@@modestalchemist Exactly, I read that a lot of people have issues with that. Ugh, I just replaced them with longer ones and even used plastic straps instead 😂

I’m doing this alone.. and I’m soo struggling with this V shapes metallic thingy that is supposed to give support under the mattress… those screws are soo tinyy and I just have 5, and not 6 like you! So I can’t put it in a 90 degree angle like you. Uugh this is frustrating

The tiny screws for the frames crossing from side to side are a real pain in the ass to screw by hand 🤬
