Yea. It starts with a launch which goes 0-230mph within 1 second,it then goes up a 250m hill,then it does a 130 degree drop followed with a 125m loop,before doing another 50 inversions. It then goes through another launch,making it go 275mph. It will then go up a vertical hill which goes up to 300m. Then it drops into a tunnel and does another 100 inversions. It will then go up a 150m spiral before slowing down. Once it fully slows down,it does a free fall drop,which drops 150m + another 25m underground. It then does a reverse launch which goes 300mph back into the station. Truly intense!
Just wait until Raj’s bouncy bottom burp comes along, that’ll give nemesis a real run for her money

Blimey - The Octonauts. That 0-90mph launch followed by a super intense helix with inversions that whip you side to side and airtime that sends you metres above your seat. Octonauts is the scariest ride ever imagined

Galactica is very underrated, its really comfy and also is really good for an introduction to thrill rides
I'd say so too. It really introduces you to the insanity of Nemesis if you ride it enough times.
When I first visited towers when I was about 7 or 8, every other thrill ride looked too scary for me, so I ended up going on Galactica and quite enjoyed it. I went back when I was 14 and rode all the other rides, so I have to thank Galactica for being my first ever thrill ride
Galactica, or Air as it was at the time, was the only one I dared go on. But I really enjoyed it for the most part. I wanted to go on it again, but sadly it was the end of the day by that point so I didn't get a chance or to try Nemesis. After the Smiler incident of 2015 though I was definitely put off from going back or going on rollercoasters ever again. But I would like to go on Galactica again and to try Nemesis, really. I'm a little sad I've lost my chance to ever ride the original Nemesis but never mind, at least it's been rebuilt! Maybe I will one day.

I've rarely had a rough ride on Rita 👍 it has a bit of rattle, but nothing that ruins my ride on it 🙂
Agreed. I don't find it rough, just the restraints are uncomfortable if you're on the taller side... I only really notice it waiting for the launch and the brakes at the end.

I would love to see some work on 13 to make it a longer 'through the woods' part of the ride for some re-rideability because it's just not worth the queue if you've been on it before. It's only enjoyable if you go on with someone who's never been on before
I didn’t really like 13 very much - and the queue I waited on was ridiculous. Bit disappointed!
13 got me scared af especially when it turned dark
I love thirteen purely because I know what's going to happen. Getting to hear other first time riders is definitely amusing and I still love that drop
I actually still like this ride. I occasionally need a break from the intensity of re-riding nemesis and the smiler, and this and wickerman are my go to picks. Also, try thirteen if you're there at night, you can't see anything which makes the outdoor section more interesting
I do feel that Alton Towers really needs more flat rides. Last time I went I barely went on a single one! There are a few products from different manufacturers that I think would fit perfectly in the park (most notably on the old Ripsaw spot), but for now I can only dream.
I always see Alton Towers as more of a "Universal" style theme park where they can thrive on mostly Coasters and Dark Rides 👍 I'd rather see them focus on some modern dark rides if anything 🙂 would be really cool! But flat rides would be nice 👌

Rita is sick - no issues there, I actually prefer it to wickerman. I rode Rita right at the front as my first ride of the day one trip and both my girlfriend and I were like..that was absolutely the best time we’d ever ridden it 😂 it was incredible
Far far too nice to 13 imho, any stick Rita gets is far more deserved by 13.
Spinball is great too - doesn’t get enough credit for being basically a walk on most days and pretty thrilling due to how fucking rickety and wild mouse feeling it is.
I’d have to have smiler at 1, it’s just pure perfection and madness tightly packed into such a crammed area, super smooth, feels long and like you get a good ride - and it has that “let’s do it again” feeling as soon as you come off.

Rita was literally my favourite ever,her speed,ride theming everything.
Duel is one of my favourites. I think if they just got rid of most of the dots and just kept them on the monsters then it would be great.

The downward helix preceding the tunnel shared with CRR is a moment where the train picks up speed due to gravity. I have my opinions, and that’s okay. It’s simply because I like launches, I’m taller so prefer more accommodating seats (lap bars) and I just think that the smiler is incredible, as do lots of enthusiasts 😂

@@a_09.7 The reason why I say that is because, typically speaking, rollercoasters in the US are not as well themed. Yeah sure there’s the odd exception, but I find that rollercoasters in the UK and Europe just do theming so well 💪🏻 when we have the likes of The Smiler, where it is a world-class coaster all round (both layout AND theming), then we can’t exactly complain 😂😂

When I last went back to the park, the first ride I went on was Rita and I had forgotten how fast it was. And my god was I windswept and tbh it was quite smooth when I went on it

I absolutely loved Hex as it wasnt that scary as a kid. I've never been on 13 and wicker man nor the smiler. Air terrified me as a kid but it was amazing. I need to go back for the other rides.
Nemises is a legend and nemises inferno is also amazing. Never rode Rita either 😅 Also love B and M and Intermin rides 👍 they are good.
