outside of music, King Von is a very infamous figure in the streets of chicago. He was a high member of the black disciples gang. and they are at war with another gang called the gangster disciples. The conflict is generational and both sides have had shocking amounts of casualties which is why the music is so violent lol. He has some deep songs like "what its like", "how it go", and "why he told" but the majority of his music is similar to took her to the o with storytelling and lots of savage lyrics. good artist.

he got a new song out with polo g and a music video. King Von - The Code ft. Polo G. Honestly you should watch "The Soft-Spoken Assassin" mini 10 min documentary on CZcams about him, he's got quite the background..
To give you some context: the 'fuck that nigga he from 63rd' line at the end is a reference to an opposing gang that is from 63rd Street in Chicago. He says 'Fuck 63rd' or stuff like that in most of his songs and he made it a popular phrase now amongst fans to say 'Fuck 63rd'. Von is from 64th so they're right next to each other. But 63rd had a rapper called FBG Duck that was King Vons biggest music rival/gang rival. Earlier in the song when he says "Other six say duck" (about the missed calls on her phone), that's who he's referencing. So he's basically saying he shot FBG Duck (as the 'big goofy nigga' comment could physically describe Duck + the actor playing him in the video resembles him).
Anyways despite them both being biggest rivals, both of them have now been murdered within 3 months of each other which is simply tragic as they both made great music, had children and they were probably the next huge rap stars from Chicago alongside Polo G and Durk but yeah.. once you watch that 'The Soft-Spoken Assassin' video, you'll realize he's definitely more dangerous/than he looks and sounds. The rumors are that he has the most murders for his area, which says a lot considering its Southside Chicago. One of the most dangerous spots in the country.
If there was ever a rapper to be murdered, it was going to be King Von. And as a fan of his, that saddens me to say but it was inevitable as he was definitely a real gangster.
And, finally, give Lil Durk a listen. He's a more mainstream rapper (did that song with Drake recently). He kept money in Vons books whilst he was in jail and essentially got him out of the streets to start rapping when he was released from jail. He's more of a 'singy' rapper nowadays but he still has some fire songs.

People call King von a demon aswell because in interviews he would make out as if he had a crush on her and was upset about her death
