this turned out AMAZING. the recipe doesnt use vanilla extract and i was a bit concerned, like what if the cake smells like egg / flour? But after it was baked, it was perfectly soft and sweet with none of the unwanted flavors. It’s as easy as it seems and it’s fool proof! Make sure to whip the eggs until u can form ribbons and you’re all good. My batter also looked a lot thicker and paler in the end compared to the video which got me worrying a lot, but it tastes flawless and that probably wasnt a big deal. It also has that cream-cheese-like flavor from the mascarpone; it’s quite noticeable, too. I love it! measure the ingredients correctly & follow the video, you should be fine. our oven tends to take a bit longer than most recipes so i put it in there for about an hour. the apple wasn’t crispy but that didnt bother me. would definitely recommend.
I love your recipes and I love to watch you make them. I love the cooking sounds too. The music is unpleasant however. I find it greatly distracts me from the wonderful, meditative experience of watching and listening to you bake

Hi loves all your recipes. I baked this yesterday taste good .However I have a question does all my Mascarpone, egg, need to be at room temperature? My batter was not liquid has yours.
Next time try putting more melted butter in the bottom of the pan, sprinkle the butter with brown sugar and cinnamon and then layer the apples in next. Then pour the batter on top of the apples and bake it. Remove from oven and let sit for 5 min, then invert the cake onto a plate! The apples should stay soft and sweet ^.^

In case someone attempts this, I would suggest a tad lower temp around 170°C (or even less) in case you want to keep that duration. Cause 180°C and even 40 was definitely a bit too much too long for me (gas oven tho, every oven is different). Otherwise recipe is fine, taste is rather good too.
