I've always like this method better because the calculations are simpler. but important FYI, to those studying for PMP exam. if you start with zero, all your ES times will be wrong for purposes of the pmi exam. PMI exam requires you to start with 1
Kevin Duncan ...that's exactly where I am, find out that some books begins in1 and others in 0....cannot be sure what's should be the correct way for PMP exam.

I started with 1, in ES of Activity A at the beginning and finally ended up with no critical path! I wish you could calculate from the day 1 not 0. For example my final result accordingto PMBOK, for activity A, is become as follows:
A: ES=1, LS=0, EF=3, LF=2.
B: ES=4, LS=3, EF=7, LF= 6.
C: ES=4, EF= 5, LS=9, LF=10.
And so on!

I have cried so many times over this operations management homework (it's online so I already don't get much instruction). I asked the professor for help and she sent me a problem example with zero explanation to it. You, however, managed to walk me through my homework with how you explained this diagram.
