    Those fendt foragers cost around £315000 says my local fendt dealership who brought one to the village gala in 2017

  • @welshdai7796
    @welshdai7796 Před 5 lety

    A contractor down here in pembs had a fendt harvester. Rang the dealer up saying it’s rubbish. So instead of taking it back they offered them another one as a back up if the one broke down. He told them no. And he wouldn’t buy one of them.

    Nice video. Dumb questions from a city kid: The silage being drier than you want it to be, does that cause you problems or complications later on? And could you fix it by sprinkling water on it as it's stored, or would that just do harm?

    • @ryanquinn6733
      @ryanquinn6733 Před 5 lety +2

      byamrcn the fermentation of the silage tends to be better when its that bit drier, if it’s wet the amonia levels can be too much

    Where’s he going buying a new forager and having an old machine on the pit and another owld yoke drawing in, would he not be better off buy a few years old forager and than he’d be able to afford a newer loader and tractor

      Going by the reg on that forager it is two years old. So not so new.

      @gerardbreen3944 Před 5 lety

      I haven’t seen the video of his last forager but I think he should have kept it for another year and upgraded the loader

    • @willycase6430
      @willycase6430 Před 5 lety +3

      Gerard Breen you only need to upgrade and get newer machines if u need to. If his jcb is doing them fine then why change it. They also have the Old new Holland TM which is a bullet proof tractor so will probably stay forever.

    • @gerardbreen3944
      @gerardbreen3944 Před 5 lety

      Yep I agree tm,s are probably the best made new holland, but about the jcb it’s probably doing fine now but when it starts giving problems and he wants to upgrade to a newer one it’s going to be a big payment but if he keeps them fresh he won’t have as big towards a payment for a new one
