Oh my God what type of heartless people. I used to pay for a maid and I never used to care what she ate. To me food is sacred and cannot be denied to anyone, not even to a dog.
Stealing and sneaking is bad but don't mislead people by telling them to just get anything they want, some of these employers don't want maids taking things without permission and some of those employers are brutal. Incase one lives in a house that understands then that it's okay.
Honestly my dear you are right ,but maybe if they try to eat it in front of them they will scold them,I was once a house help, at times I starve because of some instructions given to me 😢,so what I do is I use my money to buy what to eat , it's not really easy being a maid, some are lucky and some are not,but I thank God for my life today 🙏

It is sunnah to treat your house staff like family members. It would not bother me one bit if I had house staff and they ate from my fridge, I would expect it. The food is meant to be eaten and the table is to seat everyone! Give them their days off NO MATTER WHAT!!!!

I am starting to think that as well. Saudi Arabia has such a horrible reputation about how maids are treated. Some countries don't even allow their people to go to Saudi Arabia as a maid because of the horrible treatments of the maids.
