  • lol, easiest job to date. Don't waste your money on lead generating websites. I just wanted to try out home depot referral program since you can use points to get leads which you get by simply buying from hd. Not much to lose if you ask me.

Yes Allen, it was more than 7 minutes. You had to sign up, do the background check, and pay for it, maintain license and insurance, which cost money which a portion needs to be passed down to each client; then you had to communicate with the client to set up an appointment, get to the site and do the job.
I would count going to the next client only half, since you are probably also counting that time to that next client. That’s double counting for one trip.
If you were going home then I would count it as the whole commute.
All of this is time, and time is money in business.

@MAVENdeNYC Well, if he went home, OR if the next client is on the other side of town.

Hey Allen, what would recommend in getting customers/business? I moved from Tennessee to Florida and I’m having a hard time getting business and I’m trying to do this without paying thousands of dollars in leads . I’m also on HD Pro app. Thanks

hey bud, try facebook, nextdoor and maybe some flyers. Unfortunately, the market is saturated right now. Only thing that helped me out was advertising on google, getting reviews and having a website. Middle class customers are struggling right now, most of my clients are upper scale now adays.

Its an hour of work. Minus overhead. So maybe 75 an hour if that. I mean keep hustling but unless you have a full day of those its not worth it and will eventually lose you money. The wear on tools and vehicle alone will eat that profit. Nevermind the time you spend dealing with the leads. I did this for years. $185 an hour and it turned out to be about 35 an hour all said and done.
The only way this works is training a new guy or be willing to do this for years and treat it like marketing that may not pay off years later.

oh yea just the 1 appt wouldn't pay the bills. I'm just trying it out. But yes dealing with people just looking for a price is not fun.
