He then told Marino about it (he was Marino's backup QB in Miami the year Maino did it). I'm wondering if he's one of those smug European "soccer" loudmouths who go around commenting on American football videos about the fact that it "shouldn't be called "football" because you don't use your foot. Despite the fact that you do use your foot in American football and that's not why it's called "football" anyway. It has nothing to do with what part of the body contacts the ball.

    Some of the 2000 Rams plays should definitely be there. Off the top of my head, the Kurt Warner fake timeout direct snap to Faulk for a TD was great. There was also that passing play where the two receivers are running parallel with each other and they lateraled it to each other for a TD; it was so cool, I wonder why they never really try that anymore. And not the Rams, but the Titans miracle play was definitely smart.

      There was either a turnover or a score. And McCarthy wanted to challenge it (since he felt it was rules against the Packers). But every turnover or touchdown is automatically reviewed. So if you throw the challenge flag on a play thats automatically reviewed anyway, it´s a unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Which results in the play not being reviewed at all.. I hope you understand it, Pretty complex.
      So, lets say GB vs. CHI. GB player fumbles, CHI picks it up. Well, gonna be reviewed if its close call. But if McCarthy throws the challenge flag, then it´s a penatly on McCarthy, and then even if it was no fumble, it would stand as one.

    • @ryguysmemes8296
      @ryguysmemes8296 Před 6 lety +3

      bowlchamps37 why is it unsportsmanlike conduct??

    • @bowlchamps37
      @bowlchamps37 Před 6 lety +28

      I don´t know why they put it up. It actually does not make sense. I have seen a game where the coach threw the flag and they said it is unsportsmanlike conduct and the play can therefore not be reviewed.

    • @MagikFingers420
      @MagikFingers420 Před 4 lety

      @@metalpharaoh3025 bc if he scored that would possibly allow the other team to have a chance to score and possibly tie or win the game. So by holding the ball now they can run out the time clock to 0 and win the game for sure. Bc when you kneel it runs the time off 30 seconds, do that 4 times for all the downs that removes up to 2 minutes.

    The best one I can think of happened in the seventies. In a close game with New England, with thirty seconds left, Miami was punting from the end zone. The kick would have given te Patriots the ball in field goal range but Don Shula ordered his punter to take the safety and step out of bounds. Miami was now punting from the twenty yard line instead and had a one point lead.
