God Speed to your Glorious Mission!! We Own you much Building this Magnificent Vessel! Make it so!
Seeing an actual scale model is so much cooler than those 3D CG walkthroughs. Not to take anything away from them, but this just so more tactile and real.
The 3d cg walkthroughs I know of get copyright strikes. Do you know any that still exist?
@@chrisfleitas615 I wan't even aware they were getting pulled down.
I totally agree!!! Real and touchable is Soo much better!!!
Yep, the walkthroughs were pulled down by CBS, we did the one for the original enterprise, every deck and room @@chrisfleitas615
Cheers from your newest subscriber from California
Glad you made the adjustments for the floors in the teardrop. Still amazed by your craftsmanship!
Yours is one of the few quality channels that deserve traffic. You'll hit 100K soon, Mike!
Your ambition is astonishing and your skill is unbelievable, but there it is.
Looking forward to the next video where you address the superstructure profile issue! Minor observation - are you going to add the short star-steps from the bridge deck into the "command pit"?
I know it's not canon to TOS, but I'd love to see your version of a two-turbolift TOS bridge, similar to the motion picture placement of stations, just TOS-style. Science to the left of the captain, comms behind, and engineering to his right, and otherwise same placement.
Im not going to lie dude, the fact you're doing the model to the size and scale you've chosen is impressive.
Thats not to mention the crazy detail you're adding to it. Its incredibly satisfying and its no wonder your subscriber base is growing! 🖖
The word is starting to spread.. Prepare yourself for more subs mate , a LOT more.!!
You make me want to encourage you, your enthusiasm and friendliness is awesome.

Congratulations! It truly is an astounding project, and I am sure many more followers are on their way.
Congrats on 10,000! I expect your growth will continue exponentially, and is well deserved.
Congratulations! From Guadalajara, Mexico 🇲🇽🖖🏻
Congtats on the 10k Mr. Trek!
Live long and prosper, everyone.
Is it me or does anyone else think that white crewmember figure seem out of proportion/scale to the briefing room chairs? Otherwise, I have to say I'm blown away by the level of craftsmenship and all the work put into this. Looking forward to seeing the final result. 🖖
And here I always thought I was a Trekkie... a great example of ambition, you are the MAN!!! Simply awesome, keep the good vibes going! WARP SPEED AHEAD BROTHER!
This inspires me to build my very own Rocinante with deck by deck layout. Just need time, space and talent
Congratulations all the way from Canada!
Absolutely LOVE it! Congrats on 10k subs…well deserved! 🖖
Congratulations on the milestone
I love you man - so envious. Wish I could take you out for a much needed break for a pint or two of Guiness.
Careful with those Franz Joseph blueprints, the shape of the teardrop is a little off in them as well as the height of the tear drop and the shape of the bridge. It makes for a great starting point but there are tons of inaccuracies, for example, the shuttle bay being really long and extending past where engineering should be, torpedoes on deck 3 rather than phasers on deck 2, the turbo shaft doing a wired drop down before going to the secondary hull. I would suggest using the canonical side schematic from “In a Mirror, Darkly” as a starting point. Congrats on the milestone, will you be using dialogue from the episodes to dictate where rooms go?, for example, Kirk's quarters on deck 5, auxiliary control and weapons lockers on deck 8?
I was going to mention that.
Beat me to it. I mentioned that upthread as well and posted about the shape of the teardrop before I saw you had posted about it already.
I enjoy Star Trek, but am always amazed by the insane knowledge of Trekkies. I enjoy hearing you all geek out in the comments as much as watching the videos.
thing is there was always a debate on where Engineering was, between the nacelle pylons, or behind the impulse drive in the saucer section? does the Enterprise actually have 2 engine rooms? we know from the blueprints there's more than just one transporter room!
Great channel. I’m not a star trek fan but i do enjoy watching model makers like yourself work on passion projects. 👍🏻. This is amazing. Great inspiration to others. Including myself to go ahead and tackle my own thing.
Good day Mr. Trek! Your detailed work is stunning and I love your passion. You mentioned going back the the FJ plans to correct the contour of the 'tear drop' shape... His blueprints are fun but also very inaccurate in certain aspects especially when it comes to the contour of decks 1-4 - the bridge in particular (which might be moot with your redesign of the service corridor). If you're looking to get closer to the contours of the filming model, I would suggest the diagrams that Gary Kerr created. He actually worked on the restoration at the Smithsonian. If you look at his diagrams compared to the FB plans, just at a glance you can see how far off the FB plans are. I hope this is helpful!
Keep up the. Good work…amazing
Congrats on 10K subs!! Love what you are doing!
I'm glad to see your channel is growing! I'm enjoying watching your progress, keep it up!
I just discovered this channel a couple of weeks ago and ever since I watched one of your videos CZcams keeps recommending more and I keep watching 'em and so I just now subscribed and let's see where this ends up.
Hope it turns out better than that marble machine guy.
Excellent!!!
This is first I’ve seen of you channel and I’m sold. Subscribed!
*Looking good!*
I'm one of those new subs and am fully jealous of your skills. Outstanding! I'm reviewing all of your old videos to get caught up, and I loved the video where you were talking about making a shuttlecraft out of a cereal box. It reminded me of being a kid and doing the same stuff. It just never occurred to me to develop that Fun, into a Talent. I'm glad that you did. Now, here's hoping that when this mission ends, we'll see others with the "Bloody A, B, C & D."! Wow! Just thinking of a 1/25 D! Oh, My, Jesus!!!
Congratulations on the 10k Mike, well deserved.
proud to say I was a subscriber from the newspaper article. I think you were a few hundred subs in. Love this mission. The huge scale is mind boggling.
Just sub'd to your channel. Awesome project Mike !! 😎👍
You're doing incredible work. Don't let the canon-heads take over--follow your own creative path.
I'm hoping that the lowest deck in the hull section will just be full of potatoes for the crew...
Well deserved Sir...well deserved.
It’s looking fantastic. Keep up the inspiring work
Let's build the real one. Common Powerball.....I want to be like Elon....I mean Zefram Cochrane!!! Your modeling skill is really awesome. This is so detailed and from polystyrene...just amazing!!
Well done! Your attention to detail is incredible! What made you decide to undertake a project like this? When complete where will it be displayed? Full marks Sir!
WE are all Living the Dream as we see our beloved Enterprise become a 1/25 Reality.
Just curious what you have determined for deck thickness and floor to ceiling height? Also, how are you converting from computer to scaled up cutouts?
Congrats buddy from me one of those new subs! And curious as to where you be storing/showing the finished behemoth when it's finished? 🙂👌
Congrats on making the 10K subs.
I can't even get my small handful of YT videos to reach 1K!
I hope he builds the TMP refit right after ;)
Congratulations on your 10.000 subs I have an observation to make, the emergency exit ladders railing outside the bridge has a gap between the wall of the bridge and the top of the railing, that in case of evacuation might be fatal, keep up the good work!
Awesome and inspiring as always! Full steam ahead mate!
This is just damned impressive. I cannot wait to see this completed, but I can't help but wonder . . . where the hell are you going to put it?
@@gcampagn He has a video where he talks about the size, I think it would fit in a basketball court. It's going to be an impressive build, but I'm curious how we'll get to see inside of it once it's all put together.
I think he needs to figure a way to crank the decks above or below to show off a certain deck.
Hero
OMG can't wait, magic!
Thanks and keep up the great work!
it is looking amazing we are sa well trying to get you out to the large Star Trek community on Twitch as well
I do hope you don't rely too heavily on the Franz Joseph's blueprints for the top down shape of the tear drop, as it is not accurate to the original TOS 11' miniature that is at the Smithsonian. The aft curve where it intersects with the saucer when view top down is much more pointed and more of an acute angle (though still curved) than what F.J. illustrated back in 1973.
Still in awe of what you are undertaking.
Man, do the turbo-lifts ever take up the horizontal space on the 5th 6th & 7th decks.
Congrats on 10k- well deserved!
You’re doing a brilliant job. Top notch work
It's so impressive! Congratulations!
Congrats on the milestone!
Looks interesting
If I can, I will come see this for myself as this is so cool. Well done on 10k There's more of us out there and we will all be pressing that button when they find out. Whats your demographic? Mostly local / uk?
I’m a 48 year old man from the US living in Nicaragua. I enjoy Star Trek, but wouldn’t consider myself a Trekkie. I definitely like sci-fi. I also love watching quality model making. I feel like this channel speaks to multiple demographics and has a ton of cross over appeal. The scale he’s working on alone should attract quite a few subscribers.
Congratulations! This is well deserved. When I first subscribed, I couldn’t believe you had so few subscribers. I foresee your channel growing exponentially from here on out.
I'm curious about where this will end up when you complete it. Do you have a space large enough to store it?
Regardless, this is incredibly exciting to watch your progress. Thanks!
Any reason the turbo shaft couldn’t just go straight down from the bridge, rather than sliding over to the center? I know the spare car is centered in order to align with the exterior, but maybe u could streamline the shaft even more, by eliminating one more junction. Just spitballing. I guess it needs to move to center at some point, to get thru the “neck”, tho.
Are you going to place led lights too ?!?
I'm excited to see your progress on this mission!
Very well earned, indeed !
More, please 🖖🏻
Will you put in-scale figures into the model?
are you going to skin the exterior or leave it open ? looking great
So where is the completed model going to be kept? I must have missed this in Mike's previous videos.
Where will this stand and how? In full glory or different parts?
I am concerned that you're going by the Franz Jospeh blueprints (they aren't exactly accurate).
Who really cares? I have the Franz Joseph blueprints myself.
@@wteg4356 The issues with them might cause some problems down the road.
What materials are you constructing this model from? Is this a mock-up or the finished articl?
Okay, I'm subbed. This is fascinating.
Are you placing your USS Enterprise In the World Guinness Records?!!
Do! or Do Not - There is no guess
Amazing work!! Question tho.. Is what we’re seeing here parts of the final model or is all this still just the test model? If it’s the test model, how much of the test will you build? You going to end up building two starships?
In previous videos he said that he’s basically building two starships so that he can work out all of the issues on this “mock-up”before moving on to the real thing. Crazy, but I’m here for it.
We see the Mock-up version of the build so far is cardboard, what is the final build material going to be, ???
When do you think we'll all be able to move in?
My question is; how are all the interiors going to be visible on the completed model? Will the whole thing be modular so you can disassemble it or display it in cross-section?
Where do you plan to house it when it’s finished?
I'm sorry but I feel like I've missed an important step in this build . Are all the structures you've built so far simply "test beds" before you actually build the final model ? I just can't see the huge final model being built out of cardboard . If I've missed some clues to the future plans please direct me to the appropriate video . I'm assuming , based on its size , that you will use wood and steel and plastics to support the enormous size of this ship . Best of luck moving forward always . Cheers !
Mr Trek, After viewing much of the controversy about the bridge layout. And the reasonable conclusion that it was built by set designers and the director purely for camera angles and dramatic effect (with no concern for practical engineering accuracy). Combined with the turbo-lift blister clearly seen on the exterior of the bridge bubble and the reasonable conclusion that engineers simply wouldn't offset the command chair and consoles at 36 degrees from forward. Followed by your mission statement of building it as if it was a real ship. My conclusion is the Turbo-lift doors should be directly behind Kirk's chair. Instead of trying to reconcile what we saw on TV. @1:14 this blue print reinforces my conclusion.
BTW Great job so far!

SUBBED!
10 k .... WOW
Congratulations! But do you realize that 1:25 scale would make your model 243.75 feet long?
Amazing! I just wonder where her "dry dock" will be?
And 1:25 scale? Wasn't the TOS Constitution Class something like 1000 feet long? That would mean a 1-25th scale would be something like 250 feet long... no?
1/25th of 1000 feet is 40 feet, not 250 feet. If the model was 250 feet, that would be 1/4 scale.
Dohhh... yes of course you're right. Thankyou for the correction!@@jodonnell64
⭐
❤
If you are using the Franz Joseph blueprints, then Engineering is in the wrong place. It is in the secondary hull, not the saucer.
Quick question, the turbo lift is square isn’t it?
round
Sorry buddy but I plan on making a metal statue of the enterprise. Around over 130 feet, although your may be displayed inside. I want to put mine out for the world to see
Sounds awesome, I'll edit the titles on my thumbnails when you actually start building it.
Btw do you accept voulnteers.
Don't let anyone down you for using the Franz Joseph blueprints! Let them build their own.😂
Sigo comentando, que el pueste está mal. El original, esta en un ángulo de 37º girado hacia babor, con respecto al eje dela nave. Es fácil de encontrar en internet.
He's already addressed that in earlier videos.
Frigging awesome !
Big!
Where are you gonna display this thing? Or actually the question should be, HOW?
