    I love the innovation. In my opinion this looks great for a two-man team, such as sniper-spotter kind of deal. May get a little too chaotic with bigger assault teams imo.

      @TOTALRECOILAIRSOFT  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah, that would definitely make a deadly duo. Opie and I play as a two man team very often (as you've probably seen in our vids) and we wont ever play without them again... Thanks for your comment! :)

      I believe it will work well even for bigger teams like 4-5 people in very dynamic and critical situations, or 8-10 guys in normal situations. It is full duplex, which means that it will work at least twice faster/better and there will be no loss of information.
      Think in this way - how pro gamers play in a team of five, where they do 3-5 actions per second and 2-3 guys talk simultaneously, and they still understand what the rest say. In airsoft this will be rather rare situation in a team of five.

    I think this is going to support some really cool gameplays. This actually reminds me of playing call of duty cometitive where I can communicate with team players and make awesome plays. Very excited to eventually picking a couple of these things up! Keep up the good work ;)

      Thanks for your comment! It certainly helped us out tremendously for making plays, winning rounds and having a great day overall.

    I'm slightly confused. I think this a cool idea, but I'm not seeing how this is better then radios? I love the innovation and excited to see where this goes, but would love a little more explination how it's better then radios. Thanks guys!

      Sorry about that mate! We feel it’s pretty clear how they differ from radios in the gameplay videos (if you haven’t watched the others check them out) but we’ll be releasing a pro’s and con’s video in the coming week which should help clarify things. Subscribe to the newsletter on our website to be notified of the release. And thanks for your question! :)

    Exciting bit of kit, congrats. Would be great if there was an app to download to enable our phone to function as the main unit, with the ability to utilise the touch screen to select point to point calls with certain individuals, have a radar type function/ distance bearing to selected team mate.

      Innovation like that is exactly what we believe airsoft needs! But it definitely can’t happen on the first iteration. For now we think better comms are most important thing to work on in airsoft. The bells and whistles will have to wait for later. Thanks for your comment! :)

    I'm sorry but... Where is the value add over a pair of cheap walkie talkies with a push to talk? Hell, a Baofeng gets miles of range for a fraction of the cost.
    You say there "has to be a better option," but why is this better? And why is it *four times better* than cheaper options?

    • @TOTALRECOILAIRSOFT
      @TOTALRECOILAIRSOFT  Před 2 lety +1

      You cannot use a radio the way you can use a Bluetooth intercom. It’s the clear audio and ease of use that set it apart. Of course, they each have their own pro’s and con’s. Radio’s have great range but horrible audio quality, are extremely slow to use and only one person can broadcast at a time. The Battle-Link units range is limited compared to a radio but the sound quality and ease of use means you can have actual conversations without ever taking your eyes off the field or your hands off your weapon. When playing on larger fields we use both radios and the BL Intercoms. Radios are for simple long range communication and Battle-Link for complex and fast comms within our squad. Regarding the price, the mesh technology utilises an expensive chip with BT 5.0 for a very high transmission rate. Radio’s are tech that was invented almost 100 years ago. We are hoping to bring down the price in the future when we are producing larger batches though! Hope that answers your question :)

      I could see this being a great alternative to standard comms, how does your breathing affect the transition on the the comms such as can you hear everyone’s heavy breathing cause when I make a 40yard dash and it’s super hot out my breathing under a mask is super heavy and do you have a mute button so you can turn your mic off when you don’t need to talk or anything?

      When is mesh mode anyone on the same channel and in range will be able to listen in. If you want a private connection you can use the peer to peer mode (pairing) to allow up to 4 players to talk privately.

  • @ROMANOWSKIAIRSOFT
    @ROMANOWSKIAIRSOFT Před 2 lety

    I’d totally be willing to pick these up when they are Sordin/Peltor ready. Atm I primarily use my dye mask for skirmish style games on small fields so that would work perfectly with the current one. but I’m also a huge fan of my helmet setup on the bigger fields as ear protection has quickly become a must with the constant use of grenades.
    When you do make a version compatible with the headphones, would it be possible to retain the ability to use it on other setups like the dye? Just so you don’t have to buy multiple units?

    • @TOTALRECOILAIRSOFT
      @TOTALRECOILAIRSOFT  Před 2 lety +2

      So the system works perfectly with a DYE mask. Its actually the easiest face protection to install the BL units into. Regarding the sordin/peltor compatibility. This is one of our highest priorities. We're working on a cable adapter that'll allow you to use your hearing protection but we don't currently have a timeline for when it will be ready. We're only just getting started with this product and we appreciate the input! :)

    Hey guys, this sounds like a great idea. How do you secure the channels, example 2 teams all have these (I know, happy days for your bank balance ;-) but can you stop one team snooping on the others communications over these?

    • @TOTALRECOILAIRSOFT
      @TOTALRECOILAIRSOFT  Před 2 lety

      You are able to create a private channel for 2-4 players using the peer to peer (pairing method). In mesh mode the units will connect to any other unit that is on the same channel (1-10) and in range. So those channels are public. Thanks for your question! :)

    everyone i know has a radio. Everyone i know doesn’t use them. I’m not gonna buy some proprietary com unit that no one has nor will use nor will buy for the same reason. Like well done you got friends to play with coms, thats ur crux. Gg reinventing the wheel.
    *people don’t really talk, nor even know how to communicate.

    • @TOTALRECOILAIRSOFT
      @TOTALRECOILAIRSOFT  Před 2 lety

      People don’t use their radios because radios suck to use. That’s the whole reason we started this project.
      We understand that these comms aren’t for everyone but you really have to try it sometime before making up your mind. Everyone we know that tried it has loved it.
      Thanks for your comment!
