The Crew 2 - New York to Los Angeles with Koenigsegg Agera - Coast To Coast Roadtrip

- I have heard somewhere that according to the devs it takes about 40 minutes to get from coast to coast in The Crew 2. That number seemed a little high to me, so in the closed beta I gave it a try myself. :P
Here you can see me driving from the player house in New York to Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles with the Koenigsegg Agera hypercar. The car is stock and I am not using any nitrous.
Note that starting from New York is probably not the fastest way to get from coast to coast. I just wanted to pick some iconic start and finish locations.
Unfortunately the GPS in this game gets messed up in certain parts of the map (and then won't fix itself until you crash), for example when taking the exit here at 3:38, so for this trip I actually had to memorize some of the turns before the run. Hopefully this issue will be fixed by the devs at some point. - Hry

This is fucking impossible. How could you reach the other side of the USA in less than fucking 30 minutes??! Even if your car is running 400 kph continously, there is no way that you could reach that far away!

Keep in mind this game only needs maps of roads, while in GTA you can go off-road. It would be absurd to make a somewhat accurate scaled down map of the US that goes off-road. Even if they did that it would need a crazy amount of storage
The Flying Pig Boi, there's more off-road then in GTA

As someone who lives in Southern California, Orange County will never have the same recognition as LA county. I hope technology will be advanced enough in the Crew 3 where they can do a 1:1 replica of all of the United States, including fast travel obviously but I don’t think that’s going to happen.

there's nothing amazing about creating a huge empty map. there are online tools that can render giant open environments for free. this is a 60€ game.

When the map is as enormous as the Crew’s map is, some things have to be sacrificed. Can’t have TONS of detail everywhere. The game would hardly be able to run.
@@Bruh-rv1yg I would agree with you, if it weren't for the fact that The Crew 1's map was just as big and the details were perfectly fine! Ivory Tower made the map worse in an effort to rennovate it in The Crew 2.

FH4 definitely seems amazing but this game seems like so much fun also with the switching of vehicle types seamlessly & a map of the whole US that u can race from coast to coast! Can't wait for both
To be honest, devs said it´s about 40-60 minutes if you actually drive from one end to another in a normal car like the mustang or something like that (and no I dont mean crawling at 45mph), but what you did was pretty much race from coast to coast in one of the fastest vehicles in the game :p But you did a pretty good job of that, some really nice and clean driving. Also think that the Agera R is one of those cars that just looks amazing no matter what color you put on it.
well, even in the stock mustang, 35 Minutes should be easily possible
stock mustang?.. you barely can get to 200kmh in that thing and the Agera is doing 300-400kmh for the majority of the trip

I did the trip in the mustang and it does take a lot more time to do it. Took me like an hour. Well it wasnt the exact same trip but it was from coast to coast.
Yeah the stock Mustang you get at the beginning of the game does 250 km/h. I did it myself from New York to Los Angeles and with having to check the map constantly to know where to go it took about 30ish minutes.
Seeing how crispy this is and the engine sounds drive me crazy. ( petrolhead 😅) I’m definitely getting this game.
I love how you can take massive corners at 300+ and not even worry about spinning out. Great driving physics

1:1 is a legitimately terrible idea, but a bit more substantial than the current Crew map would be awesome. Something that would take a couple of hours to drive across, not days.

Whether people say the map is empty or not, the scenery and locations are undeniably spectacular and beautiful to look at. At the very least, I would treat a long drive like this like a journey, looking at the places I'm driving through because they really are a sight to behold.

There is a graphic Improvement from the The Crew 1, but at E3, the graphics were more vibrant. I know it's a beta, but I hope when the the full game gets released, the graphics will be upgraded not downgraded.

Ubisoft already has a really bad reputation for showing misleading demos. This looks like it'd be fun for a minute, but IMO most Ubisoft games feel uninspired and soulless. Almost like they're always pushing games out as fast as possible just so the can start on the re-ski... I mean sequel.

It may not be a fashionable view but I have to say I love this game. The sensation of speed is great, the map is awesome and you get a pretty decent flight simulator thrown in for free.

Duglet Gaming The Agera is my favorite car as you can see in my profile pic. I have watched every video possible on CZcams that features this car. It DOES have a big similarity with the real car. I am not saying it is very close, I'm just saying I expected less from The Crew and it surprised me. One game that gets pretty close to the sound of the Agera is Grid, granted slightly muted.

Edde Yes. Shifting sounds are horrible in this game though
its not at all realistic sounding. Cool sounding maybe, but in respect to the actual cars being represented, I'm sorry but its an absolute no. Too artificial, not enough time put into actually listening to the real life cars. People rave about how good the cars sound which, yeh to some extent they sound cool, but they dont sound real, and for actual car people, the sounds will fall short I think. Like the Camaro ZL1 in this game sounds like absolute trash. There's no growl or rumble to it. Same with the C63. Its disappointing honestly. I will also say that most of the sounds are recycled versions of other sounds with slight modifications. Some of the Ferrari's have that problem, and the Lamborghini Murcielago sounds nothing like real life. There's no scream to it. And the real kicker is why the hell does every single car in this game sound like it has a single clutch, manual transmission, even though most of the modern supercars, LIKE THE AGERA R has a dual clutch and that wavering after each shift would NEVER HAPPEN, not to mention the fact that the shift would be instantaneous. Its like they only went with what sounds cool and said f*** it to accuracy.
Driving in an Agera RS irl and then hearing this makes me cringe haha, this sounds like a lawn mower that has some toy gun pops as the backfire

A dream game of mine is to have a to scale version of the entire country using google maps and such so you can just drive around where you please in the country, even if it's just your home town! Never going to happen lol, but I like seeing games try to do their best at something like that :)
