- We check out what is new for the 50th anniversary of Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey. While their new for 2024 roller coaster, Flash: Vertical Velocity, was not open just yet, we got to check out all the other things they were doing to enhance the park for their 50th anniversary.

I have a question about lockers
Is there a place to leave belongings on the platform?
Also do you have to pay every time you use a locker?
Like from one location to the next?
This flash coaster is gonna a capacity nightmare definitely the wrong decision for this park. This park still has a lot of dead areas in it that needs some TLC such as more flat rides. As as far as saying SFGA has world class coasters that’s kinda of reaching if anything they have world class clones with the exception of a few.
The Flash is gonna be good but I do agree. It’s a shame that ride will not run 2 trains as far as I’m aware. But I do have to disagree on the world class coaster aspect. Their top 4 are very elite with El Toro, Kingda Ka, Nitro, and Jersey Devil. The next set of coasters are solid thrill coasters in Medusa and Batman: The Ride. Plus this park has 3 great family coasters in Runaway Mine Train, Harley Quinn Crazy Coaster, and Skull Mountain. The other 3 I agree. I think Superman is just in a poor spot in the park and doesn’t have the best in terms of aesthetics especially when comparing it to the other clones. That park does not need Joker. As for Green Lantern I think it’s a great layout but it would do better as a sit down coaster at least in my opinion. That rides g forces are too intense on my legs for me to enjoy that ride. Other than those 3 roller coasters, the parks coaster collection is arguably the best in the chain.
Is Kingda Ka back to running 3 trains at once yet?
Oh this day they were running 2 with a 3rd in storage just in case they needed to switch trains which funny enough that’s what happened on the day we visited 😂
I went like four days ago and MAN Those lines were too too long i am absolutely never going again until its either on a weekday or i got the fast lane pass
Yeah I recommend a weekday. We went on a Thursday and I think our longest wait was Jersey Devil and Medusa at 20 minutes but everything else was fine
Are the El Toro double sided lockers free?
Yes. They weren’t operational on my visit but they are going to be free
