- Our first Botswana adventure of 2023 has kicked off and we have an incredible trip planned.
We will be visiting the following areas on this adventure:
1. Khama Rhino Sanctuary;
2. Kubu Island;
3. Maun;
4. Moremi - Xakanaka;
5. Moremi - Third Bridge;
6. Khwai - Magotho Campsite;
7. Savuti;
8. Chobe River;
9. Hunter’s Road;
10. Elephant sands.
We will be joined by the team from Opposite Lock and Cgear

In this episode we wake up to magnificent views of Kubu Island and try our luck taking the Gweta Road to Maun through the Makgadgadi Pans and prepare for our first time visit in the Moremi Game Reserve. Can’t wait for our first Safari experience of this iconic location.
Botswana is an absolute fantastic country to overland and Gunnland (Our 79 series Landcruiser) is right at home in the wild and untouched parts of Africa!!

@@GunnlandExplores there is a crossing that is probably 20kms across the middle of the pan. You would have had a problem there but either way what an awesome adventure

It was too amazing for words!! The drone shots made it epic, we agree!! It almost looks to good to be true - it caught an angle of the adventure no one could have planned for 😊
The narrator seems to be a very pleasant guy.....plays a huge role in us watching his series. I grew up in Limpopo and have been to Bots many times, but his pleasant way just describes an "I want to go again" picture! Keep it up mate, have a good one... Cheers!

Which month is most fitting to visit there?
@markus dippenaar I would say the winter months would be best. Is also cooler and easier to see wildlife as there is less standing water around.

Thanks Charles!! We had a blast!! Tough Dog and I would make that decision again and again!! I went with the 45mm big bore adjustable from them!! It’s amazing!! Can’t give the product enough praise!!
And the laod rating on the leaf springs? Your Cruiser does not seem to hang down at the back as normally happens on the double cabs.
Very nice video. I'm planning to go to Botswana in August with friends to the salt pans. I'm keen on taking along my Mini 3 Pro drone. Did you have to get a permit or do anything special to take it into Botswana and be able to fly there ?
Thanks Tom!! It is an incredible place!! Flying around Kubu Island won’t give you any problems or trouble - but definitely not in any National Park without the proper permits and permissions in place 😊
I want to start exploring my country too (botswana) I only have a CZcams channel what else do I need.. TIA
All you need is a way to get somewhere and a tent to sleep in and grow it from there 😎😎 Botswana is beautiful
