omg this last episode gave me a mixed of feelings, because as much as i always loved this human storyline.. And i think it fits both Damon and Elena, i think the writers started this cure storyline so suddenly and fast that it doesn't seem honest to the characters..At least not anymore, i think this would fit Damon and Elena in season 4, where Elena was struggling to be a vampire and we knew from season 2 that Damon also missed being human.
But the characters evolved since that time and both of them came to terms with being a vampire and Elena didn't show any sign since then that she wanted to be human again.
Now all of a sudden from one episode to the other, and exactly when the cure appeared again, she now misses being human again? It's rushed, doesn't fit with the characters' growth after these last two seasons and it's badly written to be honest. I would love to see this storyline if the writers had shown us a bit here and there in these last two seasons that Elena still missed being human. And if the storyline had a slower and more developed evolution. Not like this.. in 2 or 3 episodes.. just to get rid of Elena..
So yeah, mixed feelings because as much as i like this storyline it looks really forced right now.

Damon meeting Elena was fate. Damon becoming Elena’s friend was by choice. But Damon falling in love with Elena he had no control over. Elena meeting Damon was fate. Elena becoming Damon’s friend was by choice. But Elena falling in love with Damon she had no control over.
I love this video. I see alot of people say, they dont how or like that she changed so much. But really she didnt. She just grew up. She isnt the same little girl now, as when they first met. U dont go through that much trama in ur 17-18years of life and not change, and losing her entire family, and Bonnie. ( Jeremy did come back and so does Alaric) but they still died also. And she ends up dying herself. And went through literal hell with all the supernational stuff around her and being crucified and everything else. No one would ever stay the same after all that she has been through. She just grew up, she became stronger, tougher, more independent young women.

And I agree with every word you said about the storyline. I love that subject of the DE dynamic SO much and I am actually happy we are back there because I always wanted a human Elena to love Damon BUT as you said it not in 3 episodes. It's too fast, it's too late. And the sad fact is they knew Nina would leave after S6 long before. Why bother with so many other storylines like the Coven or Enzo rather than explore this great storyline everyone would have loved? I love Kai, I love Enzo but I much rather prefer the human Elena topic and keep the Coven and everything for S7 when she will be gone. It's quite sad that they rush through it now after they build DE up so carefully for so many seasons. In my eyes Damon compelling Elena to live a happy life would be a damn sad but also damn perfect ending - it would still suit now because we are suddenly thrown back in time to Season 2 but nevertheless I can't help it but critizise that they didn't use all this potential but rush through it now, pretty carelessly and heartless. All we have left is simply imagine it the way we would love it, even if we won't see it on screen but just in our heads. Okay sorry for the long one but your words made me think about it so much :) Anyway, as always I am deeply in love with your video. Hopefully we'll see more as the season comes to a close
DarkxSalvation EXACTLY!! Agree with everything, i mean why waste so many episodes in other storylines when they could have focused in Elena's storyline instead? She's one of the main characters afterall, and they treated her this season like she was a secondary just so they could get rid of her in the end.. It's disrespectful to such an amazing character..
This human storyline had SO MUCH potential and they could have done such an amazing storyline this season.. instead they're now rushing everything in the last few episodes and that makes it all look rushed, forced and meaningless.. it's such a shame..

Naphie88 I completely agree!! I am getting even more furious after the latest episode! Now they seriously kill her off?! I mean how much realistic hope is there that she survives and let's say Damon compells her to life a human live away from danger? The idea is beautiful, tragic and it couldn't be sadder and I try all the best to simply see these last 3-4 episodes as a storyline that happened WAY earlier. As you said everything else is meaningless and disrespectful! It's such a great bummer ... I mean with the last episode and all the flashbacks, all these problems DE could face and then that beautiful scene that made Damon changes his mind ... such potential. And they squeez in that Damon managed to tell Elena how he feels, some little hay DEx to keep fans satisfied and 2 minutes later they kill her off. Seriously? It really feels like they want to give the fans all they want and it was all we wanted in that episode but NOT in THIS context. It feels beyond heartless and I hate that.

THIS IS BEAUTIFULLY EPIC. I have gone off the Vampire Diaries ever since series 5, but I love Delena. I was thinking of watching again, particularly because the parts of s6 that I saw looked so good - but the show can't survive without Elena, specifically Delena. I will miss your Delena vids. Will you still keep making them after S6?
citigirl13 Yeah i understand that. Season 5 was awful, a lot of people left. Season 6 was starting off great and then this all happened and all of it went to hell. Specially this human storyline, seems rushed and out of character after all the progress Elena did ever since season 4.. It's obvious the writers rushed this all to get rid of Elena in the season finale.
I'll miss vidding them for sure... I plan on continue to vid them after S6. At least one video after the finale will be done for sure.. After that i really don't know.. it depends on how the writers decided the say goodbye to Elena and Delena..

So are they both taking the cure? Feel like something is a bit off about Nina leaving. She said she always planned Elena's journey to be 6 seasons but i think that's a lie - i refuse to believe for one second that the writers would have planned from the outset for the show to go on without her in it. I just don't buy it. Anyway awesome video as always, i'm sure i'll catch up with this season at some point! :)
gc123x Only Elena took the cure so far, but Damon wanted to take it so he could be with Elena. But after Elena took the cure she remembered all the memories of Damon she had lost and remembered he didn't want to be human anymore. So she didn't let Damon take the cure. I don't think Damon will take the cure. Something bad must happen and Elena leaves and Damon stays as a vampire.. :/
Yes, there's something off indeed. Why wouldn't she want to continue doing the show if it all made her 100% happy? Something happened to make her want to leave..

Naphie88 I think she really decided it at the end of S5 maybe? I don't think she really planned it from the beginning. In Nina's behavior and words I see a strong opinion that she simply wants more. She doesn't want to be defined over a TV Show for the rest of her life so that's why she makes the break now. Fact is, I think she won't make it in the Hollywood Business. She is such a brilliant actress but sadly the buisiness has so many stars ... I don't think TVD is enough of a good start for her, nevertheless I wish it is! The storyline makes you assume they had to change the story but I think only at the end of S5 or maybe middle of Season 5 otherwise they would have stayed on track with the human Elena topic. And well we are also talking about TVD ... storytelling accelerated so much from S1 to S6. It's all fast pacing plots. Sadly.

I'm not a fan of the human storyline that for me literally just came out of nowhere considering nothing of it really has been any of missing being human and all since season 4...it just feels like such a cliche storyline...and came just out of nowhere and just destroyed all progress done on her character...so no I dont like it since it feels like this just got there with no real reason other than because they need to get rid of Elena...so they not only will ruin and destroy Delena but also Elena to me...
Still loved your video because it just shows what an amazing couple there are...my all-time favorite...and I will always love them...and the video shows as well there beautiful love for each other...I seriously think there will never be anyone else for them but each other...
ninasunset Yes, i agree with everything. I was a fan of the whole Elena wants to become human again during season 4. And i would still be happy IF and ONLY IF the writers had done this right. If there was a development, a sequence. If we had seen, ever since season 4, hints of Elena missing being human. But we didn't get any. Not for Elena and not for Damon. So seeing them now wanting to become human and specially Elena who is basically giving up on her life with Damon to be human again... After everything they went through, it's out of character and it doesn't seem genuine to the characters... It's sad... the writers had a whole season to get ready to let go of Elena and they wasted it with meaningless storylines so now they have to rush eveyrthing in the last couple of episodes..which makes this all a mess and out of character.. it's a shame..

Naphie88 No worries...rant away ...we are entitled to it.. yeah there haven't been any talk about it.. they have instead been pushing this whole forever kind of thing...forever kind of love.. her saying it's a good thing they have forever.. and then boom suddenly all she wants is to be human again..makes no sense..and how this is even gonna be anything hopeful and respectful to their relationship according to Julie I have no idea... since all I'm seeing is them tearing them apart...such a waste of all the progress Elena has done since season 4... just sad to see it ending like this like Elena doesn't matter at all... not sure if I'm even gonna tune in to season 7... I'll just stick by to all your amazing vids to keep the love of Delena to go on forever... :)
