Josh, A bit of recommendation on the used clippers. Those lightly used can be cleaned up easily with Barbicide disinfectant sold at sally's. I mean the barber don't pitch a set after cutting a client's hair or a beard trim. Donate them to a men's house for recovery from homelessness or whatever. These men are needing everything. including job's which a nice fresh shave or cut could help in that journey. Trust me after being homeless a little elbow work to clean these tools is minor. The gratitude they will show is so amazing. You see a used set of clippers, they see the hope and possibilities that can come from them.....Just a bit of input from a girl that may or may not climbed out from under a bridge in her past...resales is how I did it!

Very thoughtful message to Josh. That’s such a wonderful idea. A old tooth brush and some 90% rubbing alcohol (found at most drug stores and even Walmart)would also do nicely to clean them up. Many blessings to you, may the light of god be your pathway.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

@@michaellee4636 well Michael as a grateful recovering addict not once did I say this alone would solve these HUGE issues. However it is a fraction of the solution. You look how you feel and a pair of clippers can boost self esteem.. You can see the snowball effect here right? That pair of clippers may seem simple but huge to someone who is starting new and can't afford them. We all should look to part of the solutions in life and not pointing out the problems we know are there. We know the problems now how about solutions....Love & Light

Josh, retired cosmetologist here. Some advice since you got so much hair stuff. The Babyliss is a professional flat iron and are great and decent money. As for all the clippers and trimmers, oster makes can of cleaner lubricant that is not an aerosol. You put a small amount into a shallow bowl, dip the head of the clipper in and turn it on. All those little hairs come out into the bowl

Clerk said it could mess up a machine if the paper comes off and damaged the box also. I told her, if the box get abused that much were it goes thru all the tape, grabs the paper and rips it off a complete taped box, there is bigger issues. Walking trails everywhere, free admission to beautiful sites (Garden of the gods, Red Rock concert area Boulder trails were my favorite and all the trails around it), food tasted better there, do not know why but every restaurant/ diner we ate at seemed like grandma was cooking in the kitchen and using her garden produce. Transportation was a breeze, no issues driving around. Man made lake dams were very reasonably priced for rentals. Had no issues with the high altitude, I went in early July...temps were high(but absolutely no humidity...like east coast)..then at night you could use a jacket. Colorado Springs is the perfect destination for you. I was stationed at Fort Carson a few years ago and did reselling on the side. Plenty of thrift stores (Goodwill, Arc), a flea market and tons of spring and summer yard sales. Its also only an hour south of Denver. Oh and the mountains their are beautiful

@HairyTornnado As someone else living outside of Portland, OR, you need to make the trip. Not a weekend, mind, but take a couple weeks and bring Mose. You have ocean, mountain, and desert all within 1.5-2 hrs from the city AND some awesome thrift shops. As an aside, I lived in Rock Hill for 3 yrs when we first transferred from Canada to the US. Loved it there and plan to at least visit the area again.

I ran into the liquor box quandary with UPS. I was in a time crunch and they offered a wrap job and it only cost 2.99 . Next time I’ll know to turn the box inside out, though 🧐

West Virginia is beautiful! Thrift shops are spread about. It just really depends on where you go. Go white water rafting on the New River! Nice golf courses too. Check out Stonewall Resort. 😉

I believe that private shipping companies, such as UPS and FedEx, will ship packages in boxes with alcohol logos/advertising, based on the Two-Buck Chuck boxes my parents used to use to send things to me.

They clean and sanitize clippers at the salons in between clients. You could find some cleaner solution at a beauty supply shop (or online) and clean them up and resell locally (to avoid possible bad feedback of course for selling used clippers... you know how ebay can be... lol)

Just last weekend I stumbled across a store in Gaffney SC at the Gaffney outlet mall AKA “The Yellow Mall” as us locals call it.......the store is called Everything Must Go they sell overstock, surplus, returns and sellouts for a lower cost than wholesale value. just like the Amazon stores, the pricing lowers depending on the day. I’m in Spartanburg county and haven’t been to that mall in forever so I have no idea how long it’s been there. But you should check it out, next time your at dream deals in Spartanburg it’s not too far from there, I’m sure you will like it.
