Speaking as a Nugget's fan...a one game suspension is fair. He could have caused a serious injury. It was just random luck that he didn't.
As a Minnesota fan, if any Minnesota player did that, I'd want them out for a game. It would really suck, but the game deserves integrity and safety. We want to mitigate risk to all players. If there is a palpable consequence, it will hopefully deter this from ever happening again.

Everyone is saying a 1 game suspension is fair but I’d argue for 2 games. He threw 2 objects on 2 different occasions so it should be 1 game for each violation.

The inconsistencies in officiating from game to game are constantly detracting from the NBA product. It’s just awful when good games get overshadowed by sloppy officiating.

He also gave the same money/getting paid hand gestures the Rudy did and was fined for, during the game. So I hope they get him for that along with this. Fair is fair.
In terms of precedent, the only other case I can think of is Steph throwing his mouthguard into the stands during a stoppage of play. He was on the floor at the time, and was immediately ejected and fined $25,000. No suspension.
This act is worse though. Way worse. At least a 2 game suspension and a $50k fine IMO

I thought the Nuggets would have a good 2-3 year run at least, but between Murray pulling this and their coach storming the floor, i really dont think theyre at the mental level they need to be, which is surprising considering they already got a ring together

A fair punishment: 2 game suspension - 1 for throwing the heating pad, 1 for throwing the towel. And a $100k fine for making the money sign with his hand in front of the ref (some thing Gobert got fined for earlier this season)
