Nah bro, you can’t see it on these clips but there’s 3 plays where he’s face guarding him, the first he baited the jumper by guarding from the side then slid behind for the angle on the the block, the second play does the same thing Kd does his signature hang dribble baseline Russ reaches in to cut it off, hits ball but called for the foul, the third DA set a pick kd drives left Russ goes under and continues to follow from behind weak side picks up kd, Russ recovers knocks the ball out of bounds.

There’s not many players that can post up Russ or get in a comfortable shooting position with him guarding them. They might get past him but there’s a high chance he gets a block. He really only gets abused on back door cuts or drive-bys.

Russ is the only guy I’ve seen try to block KD from behind instead of up front. It’s smart as hell because it’s a shorter distance from behind. Don’t know why more people don’t try that.
