When I use the function that let's you move the hands away from the digital display either manually (Light + Mode) or while in the "Adjust" menu, the minute hand, while moving, shakes or vibrates while it's moving and makes unnoticeable sound. It doesn't tend to be all that noticeable while it's moving away, which tends to make it move faster. It's most noticeable while reverting into the position where it tells the time, which is when it moves more slowly. So it doesn't feel like it's sweeping smoothly, but kind of shaking/vibrating fast as it moves to or back into position.
So, does anyone know if this is a normal thing on G-Shocks, or is it a potential fault with my watch that can cause damage?

Hi, bro. I just came here to search the same thing and saw your comment. I noticed the same thing. When the minute hand is moving backwards or anticlockwise, the movement is not smooth, its bit shaky and creates some noise, noticeable when there is pin drop silence arround. Let me know if you got the answers, 'if it is normal or we got faulty watch'. Thanks in advanced

@@mt_0712 Bro it's totally normal.. it is noticable in dead silence.. but It is a machanism that was used by casio to prevent internal gear damage by backward moving.. you can search "ga2100 rainbow" , it is a short in youtube.. it's a very clear video.. There you can see it works in that way.. totally normal.. it's a machanism.. Don't Worry

Got reply from Swiss Time house. They sait it is normal. They also sent me video of another watch they have. And that watch was also behaving the same. Also saw in some yt shorts, few watches behave similarly.
