Its so funny to hear “i cant imagine keanu reeves as a dumb guy”, he spent the first 15 years of his career trying to be taken seriously, movies like bill and ted, point break, bram strokers dracula, freaked , were all films that defined him as a air head.
Started with his role in Parenthood as the idiot boyfriend. Won his respect fair and square since then. 🍻
There was a great joke in the show "The Critic" with Keanu in Merchant of Venice.
"Hath not a dude, eyes? If you prick us, do we not get bummed? If we eat bad guacamole, do we not blow chunks?"
@@ThePete1081 he was in A midsummer night's dream. And he wasn't bad. Good movie all around.
And he went back for Bill and Ted 3. That was more fun then it had any right to be.
I Love You to Death is another one with Keanu Reeves as an airhead and it might be his best airhead performance apart from the Bill and Ted movies and Parenthood
"It rains because you're sad, baby." Goddam. I'm a father of an adult daughter. THAT line gets me. Every time.
The beat boxing alien is Biz Markie, he's the singer of that famous song "Just a Friend"
I always wait to see if reactors recognize Biz.....Most don't
@@AJimiDigginKat Even being from my generation, they don't really listen to hip-hop. Biz needs more recognition for his place in the genre, hell he even helped prop up the Beastie Boys.
Biz was the original beat box
@@UncleBuckRodgersHe wasn't. Even Doug E Fresh was before Biz Markie...
Oh shit that’s why he looks familiar.
Man, the first time K stuck his finger in that globe and the little alien screamed "All is lost!" I almost passed out from laughter. I love that moment.
As much as they make fun of J over analyzing the finger-pointing, it actually tells you the end, the astronaut representing her going into space and the pizza boxes showing the location of the ship.
J: "Did your mom ever brought you a GameBoy?".
K: "WHAT IS A GAMEBOY?!"
J: "You know what? Move".
The woman from the morgue in the first film is Linda Fiorentino, you guys may remember her in Dogma as the main woman Bethany. She was supposed to be in the film but they kept lowering her screen time in the script to allow for more Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith scenes until her role was very small and they just wrote her out completely. It also lines up with the actress basically disappeared into the real world about 2000, i think she was in a Wesley Snipes film that came out in 2002, then she was in a Chazz Palminteri direct to video that came out in 2009.
Its sad because growing up MIB was one of my favourite film series and Dogma and the Viewaskiewniverse and Kevin Smith is my teen and adulthood icon
The father of the family where K & J retrieved weapons from the hidden room was the director, Barry Sonnenfeld.
And his daughter is played by Tommy Lee Jones daughter if I remember right.
Frank playing “who let the dogs out” and barking accordingly is just always so damn hilarious
Don't let 2 years go by before you get to part 3, it's the best one!
It's my favorite for sure! The Raggedy Pack is also doing this series now, they've done 1 & 2 as well.
They're doing 3 on their Patreon page next week.
Best is perhaps a stretch. Most emotionally destructive, on the other hand...
Many people disagree. In fact, it's often thought of as the WORST one.
@@thenightstar8312 really, who are these "many" people? Its rated second best out of the original trilogy on both Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb, and is miles ahead of MiB: International, which the majority believe is the worst.
So if you ever wondered why Johnny Knoxville's character just disappears from the movie and has no wrapup, it's because in the original ending Agent J and Agent K battled aliens atop the World Trade Center, where Johnny Knoxville's character and a bunch of other aliens we're trying to escape the planet, but then 9/11 happened, which they had to re-film the ending and they just couldn't find a place for him, which is sad for multiple reasons.
Also, MIB 2 had issues, but MIB 3 is PHENOMENAL.
😮
Lot of that going round at the time. The "SPIDER-MAN (2002) Original "Twin Towers" Teaser" being a famous example.
@@notjustforhackers4252 Yeah, Friends also had to do some re-shoots for an episode where Chandler was making jokes at an airport.
Yeah it was a series of events for sure :/ there were a handful of movies that needed sudden edits or last minute re-writes .
Also , yass MIB III is the absolute best !!
I LOVE the third.
The movie store guy, David cross, was in the first movie as the desk worker at the morgue.
"BEND HIM!!"
"Ah naw, don't-- don't bend em..."
Rosario Dawson's character looking calmly shocked the whole movie is accurate lol. It actually makes sense when you think about it because just about everything she's seeing is new, weird and shocking, but because unknowingly an alien herself, she's not exactly freaked out and kinda just rills with it, like Kay was in the post office lol...
I do like the foreshadowing in the beginning after her boss gets killed, she looks up at the skylight, and it's pouring rain as she cried...
The scene of him trying to crawl out of the giant plastic tubes makes me laugh hysterically every time.
Simone calling Nick cannon “Michael B Jordan” killed me 😂😘😘

"HE'S A BALLCHINIAN!"
That's one line that pops into my head from time to time since I was kid 😅
They really REALLY tried to come up with a "better" name for that alien ... but nothing stuck - so they went with it
I thought there were outtakes in the credits, but I guess it was on the DVD where it showed Will Smith doing a bunch of different names for Ballchinian.
The beatboxing alien was played by rapper Biz Markie.
Yes, Patrick Warburton played The Tick and later cosplayed The Tick. He was also Puddy on Seinfeld.
And Kronk and Joe Swanson
stand back, these are timberland boots
And the voice of Brock Samson in Venture Bros.
As much as I enjoy some Brockness Monster, if you want to make sure even the biggest normies realize where they know his voice from, you have to mention Joe Swanson form Family Guy.
Patrick Warburton has such a distinctive voice, I'm always surprised when people don't immediately recognize him for his VA work.
"I wanna lose my memory and then leave myself clues" *flashes of Memento
Remember Sammy jenkis
Just leave yourself clues now, and maybe you'll contract Alzheimer's.
Because of my ADHD is has happened to me that I forgot where I stored something, and I leave all kinds of clues to myself. Because of that reason 🤣🤣
I'm thinking Paycheck. And maybe Total Recall.
29:04 "I want two million comments about watching Bill and Ted!"
"Kill the adds first." Only if the boss can't resummon them.
"Wasn't the mother Asian?" Alien, similar but a few letters off. ;D
I'm excited to see you watch the 3rd one.
Josh Brolin kills it in that. Best thing about the film
In another 2 years
yes! probably my favorite one.
The time gap would be easier to ignore than all those automobile accidents. It's hard to drive 10 minutes at interstate speeds in a hypnotic state.
Fun fact:
19:54 That's the director, Barry Sonnenfeld, and his family 😅
“Every Saturday night you be like “flush me J flush me!” I be like “Nah” that kills me everytime!! 😂
"Spreadsheets, spreadsheets"
"Crime, crime"
"Precinct, precinct"

The new guy was the voice of Kronk from Emperors New Groove. Also Joe from Family Guy, and Brock Samson in Venture Brothers.
He was also Elaine's boyfriend David Puddy on Seinfeld.
His name is Patrick Warburton.
One of my favorite voices in the whole world, Patrick mothafuggin Warburton.
He's THE TICK!
I can't believe they cut out the "Hey J, 0% bodyfat!" joke in the pizza place. That was my favorite part of the whole movie growing up. XD
Speaking of Patrick Warburton, and my randomly triggered memory, you should watch Big Trouble (2002), directed by Barry Sonnenfeld. It has an ensemble cast of Tim Allen, Rene Russo, Stanley Tucci, Janeane Garofolo, Johhny Knoxville, Dennis Farina, a young Zooey Deschanel, and many more. It's one of those hard to describe movies where characters' stories get tangled, and hilarity ensues.
Im a huge fan of the humor writer Dave barry, and that's one of his three or four novels I think. I'm always so excited to tell people about it because of that stacked cast
@yt45204 "You see, there is no rule that says I can't come over here and fart on your entree...but I don't do it. Why? Because it's not good manners."
The Intro quote is from Brooklyn 99.
"I can't see Keanu Reeves playing an idiot"
Well...I guess we know George hasn't seen Bill and Ted's
"Men In Black 3" is honestly my favorite of the MIB -series ... please don't make us wait years for the next one.
George - thank you for laughing so hard at David Cross with the shovel. When we saw this in the theater, my husband and I laughed as hard as you did and almost no one else did. Now, every time one of has a shovel we do the "Mom..." bit. We also joke about paying more than a dollar for lobster.
I just rewatched your MIB reaction yesterday so this is amazing timing for me personally
2:13 Ohhh George didn't realize it was tiny. God bless him.
yes, he did cos play as the Tick in Ted 2, he also played the Tick in the live action show.
Why am I not surprised Terrence and Phillip here didn't recognize The Biz. Heck they didn't recognize half the artist cameos in the Blues Brothers.
Hello Simone & George!😊 I hope you are feeling better, Simone.🙏🏻 They obviously did not expect the first film to be such a hit, that there would be a follow-up sequel. For the record, there is actually a town called Truro, Massachusetts where Kevin😆worked at a post office. Great reactions to this fun sequel, CineBinge Kids!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 "Men in Black 3" (2012) is a fun film, too.😉
5:36 you should remember this scene when you watch MIB 3
Can’t see Keanu playing an idiot that’s so funny 😂
Those of us who watched Keanu's career grow up had trouble thinking of him in any serious context because of all the air heads he played when he was young. We literally have an inverted perspective but at least we can all recognize his inherent excellence.
Patrick Warburton actually played The Tick in the 2001 The Tick series.
the family who K and J went to get the weapons in the house is the Director of the movie :D
I love Patrick Warburton so much, and I was so sad when it turned out that he wasn't the partner this movie.
Found the channel today through watching Apollo 13 reactions. At the time you requested high energy space movies based on true stories. I just rewatched an old film that is not based on a true story, yet, and is not exactly based in space, but is a great suspenseful sci/fi flick non the less. You should also have an appreciation for late 60's early 70's movie making.
The Andromeda Strain, a 1971 movie based on the excellent book of the same name written by Michael Crichton. Mr. Crichton was one of the best sci-fi writers of that period. This is one of the few movies that do a book justice, the other being Jaws written by Peter Benchley. If you've only seen the movie, Jaws, the novel, is an excellent summer weekend read, especially at the beach.
Cheers from B.C.
Franks line from the first movie("Just because something's important doesn't mean it's not very very small.")comes into play here, sprout Serleena/her carrot ship/the key/the locker aliens/and the bracelet. (Also the talking roach K decides not to squish, he doesn't count but but i think he's neat) Almost every small thing in the movie plays a role.
The thumbnail for this was amazing 🤣
Going along with George's attempt to add two's in the beginning - the first MIB reaction was June 27 2022 - almost exactly two years ago!
You can't imagine Keanu as a dumb funny character while I laugh like an idiot whenever he says "I know kung fu" in The Matrix xD
MIB3 is a great science fiction movie. The character arc of J and K make it one of my fav movies ever.
0:01- 0:04: “…Precinct, Precinct” 😂😂 Brooklyn 99 reference!!!
RIP Andre(Capt. Holt)❤❤❤
I can’t WAIT for you guys to watch the third! And I truly hope you do before anyone leaves (or you read any) expectation spoilers!
one of my favorite keanu reeves movies is rivers edge. he is super young , young crispin glover and dennis hopper give great performances too. such a good movie. i think you would like it
Just got my two george and simone tshirts and desk matt. Sick designs, go get some
The agent that Will Smith flashed was Patrick Warburton. Not just the Tick, but also Joe from Family Guy and David Puddy in Seinfeld.
The question of K being the father since the mother was Asian - I mean we all accepted in Brandy's Cinderella that Whoopi Goldberg and Victor Garber had a filipino son.
You guys need to check out the Blooper Reel. Specifically the Ball-chinian and the Auto-Pilot! lol.
Simone as Johnny Knoxville is amazing 😂
The third one is the best one, with amazing acting performance from the main stars and unexpected twist that you are going to love it
Dunno if it's the best one, but it's definitely the best of the sequels that followed the first one.
Josh Brolin does a great job as agent k
@@thedefinitionisthis I tryed to think about something that i dont like from the first one.... but you are right. The first one is just classic
So Johnny Knoxville was in Barry Sonnenfeld's previous movie "Big Trouble" which is probably what got him to the top of the list for this role Patrick Warburton was also in that movie, but was also The Tick in the 2001 series which Sonnenfeld directed and was executive producer.
Will's partner at the beginning of the movie also was the voice of Kronk in The Emporer's New Groove.
19:37 Yes, they just have a particularly mild case of somebody being cut in half.
MIB 2 and MIB 3 are awesome 😊
Being de-neuralizeable means the neuralizer doesn't aktshually delete memories. It only deletes the links to those memories in the consciousness. The de-neuralizer just reconnects them.
May lead to interesting explanations about dreams.
The third one ties everything thing together. It’s the best!!
I remember watching Spiderman 2 AND MEN IN BLACK 2 in a double feature at the Theaters
So hyped you guys to watch the 3rd one, its the best one in my opinion
I love the fact you are wearing a Strongjaw Ale T-shirt. Good to see another critter.
Thats how i also picture Keanu Simone! ❤❤
Patrick Warburton was also Brock Samson on The Venture Brothers, which you should watch!!!
5:07 The man was Kronk for crying out loud xD Recognize
The actor who played Jarra also played as Mikey in the first movie
J's partner at the start of the film is played by Patrick Warburton, best known for his voice roles in The Emperor's New Groove and Family Guy. Will Smith has equally great chemistry with Martin Lawrence in the Bad Boys films. Laura is played by Rosario Dawson, who's also in Clerks 2, Alexander, Sin City, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Zombieland: Double Tap and various Star Wars series
Ending: Remember, at the end of the first movie it showed an alien playing marbles with 'galaxies' (or potentially universes). The locker ending here continues that theme.
Random trivia related to will Smith and Keanu reeves (kinda lol), Will was apparently originally considered to play Neo in the Matrix, wouldn't that have been pretty crazy, especially if Keanu did actually play johnny Knoxville's character in this? 😂
Quentin also originally wanted Will to play Django
"spread sheet, spread sheets"
"crime, crime" B99 cpt Holt and Terry.
There's a very interesting independent film from the 1980s called THE BROTHER FROM ANOTHER PLANET, starring Joe Morton (Miles Dyson from TERMINATOR 2) that has a very different take on the Men in Black myth (which is an actual UFO myth/conspiracy theory). In that film, the Men in Black are alien bounty hunters, played by David Strathairn and John Sayles (the writer/director of the movie). Well worth checking out.
I hope you feel better soon Simone. ✌️🥰
This movie was okay (pity they didn't bring Linda Fiorentino back), but you absolutely MUST MUST MUST react to Men In Black 3!! It's typically the sequel that no one asked for but was incredible.
I had to pause and laugh my ass of when she mistook nick cannon for michael b jordan lmao
It's been mostly true so far that a movie like this (based on an independent-produced comic book series) are only as good, and memorable, as their antagonists. "The Dark Knight" and "Avengers: Infinity War" for instance. Even here, Vincent D'Enofrio's performance in "MIB" still resonated with you. The villain here wasn't as interesting. "MIIB" has a few things missing from it whereas other things are just retreads of the original. Sequelitis has the studios around this time trying to get a product out too fast following an unexpected success and it shows. I never feel up to revisiting this one, even to jog my memory as to what happened in it, for these reasons. I just keep seeing where they were having trouble keeping the script from getting away from them as they were shooting it.
Also it didn't help that the final act had to be severely reshot and edited thanks to 9/11 (the final fight took place at WTC, originally; once the towers were gone for good, the studio decided to omit the entire sequence out fear/respect).
Man, Simone really has a nice smile.
Hope you two are having an great and awesome day ❤
13:35 Hugh Jackman in "Movie 43".
Good Luck with your operation, George!
The interaction between Will Smith and Biz Markie beat-boxing always makes me crack up, because Will was great, but Biz was the best ever. Just another talent Will Smith had. The whole Post Office scene is so great.
Simone! Your comment about losing your memories and leaving clues to yourself... There's a novel I think you'd enjoy a lot: The Raw Shark Texts by Steven Hall. One of my favourites! :) And the Canadian edition has one of the bonus un-chapters at that 😊
Talking of losing memory and leaving yourself clues. I wonder if they ever saw "Momento" might be an interesting react.
Funny story about this movie, is that the little alien in the train station is standing on a wooden coin from my grandmother's restaurant in Michigan, it is also seen on the back cover of the dvd vhs box, and it was in a Cameron Crowe movie.
can't wait for the MIB 3 reaction, that one might be my favorite
The black guy he was beat boxing with is an old school beatbox rapper named Biz Markie. He's passed away now.
I'm pretty sure that Jeff was modelled after the caterpillars in super mario world. A caterpillar with a little flower hat.🤔
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
My favorite thing about this movie is that a girl from my high school theater class was in the opening sequence, and got neuralized.
Love the Critical Role shirt, Simone😊
Bidet!
Highly recommend MIB3! Just don't think too much about the continuity
If you want to see RDJ in an unusual role, watch "A Scanner Darkly." It's a movie based on a Philip K. Dick novel; it stars both RDJ and Keanu Reeves.
simone sounds so baked on the first 40 seconds of the video lol
