I think we were all so fed up with Sweden being cool and winning we overlooked this. Looking back this is such an amazing performance but at the time I thought it was boring 😂
Well someone has to put the standards in eurovision since Eastern europe came in, I mean havin’ undeveloped russian music such as grandmothers etc. would make eurovision just like soviet; FIASCO
As a Swede I can understand that.
And I don’t think we talk enough about the unfair advantage we and some other countries have. Where we have just a lot of different resources for different reasons available to us, that make it a lot easier to send well produced song and stage numbers.
In Sweden we have a tendency to send whatever number/song that has the highest production value.
In the same way other countries just votes for whoever is the best singer, no matter the song.
This was not my favourite song from our qualifications rounds “Melodifestivalen”. But I still think it’s something special. It’s just very cool, in a way that challenges what we consider cool.
IQzminus2 NOT TRUE. Almost every year eastern europe ESPECIALLY russia sends people that cant sing. They cant even produce their own songs, they actually pay people from Sweden, UK etc. to write the songs! 😂
@@IQzminus2 I don't know why you're saying it. This is not my type of music, but this song is fresh as summer, made me dance and I voted for it many times. I know now why. Because all of my fav pop songs were written by Swedes. Huge respect!

Well, unfortunately you shouldn't expect too much out of our 2020 contender, if the contest even happens with the Corona times going on.
It's probably our worst one since 2013 or perhaps even since 2009. There weren't a whole lot else to choose from though, 2020 was a dry year for Swedish Eurovision.

A BIG "THANK YOU" to Sweden from Cyprus, not for the 12 points but all the help we got from them during the last years. Swedes have contributed more than anyother country in Eurovision ( songwriters etc) and have helped many countries. I may not always like their songs but we and the whole Eurovision owe them a big thank you!! Tack Sverige för allt!

Well it’s boring. And the staging is just horrible. Cool and different but the point of performing live is diminished here because it looks like a music video collage.
