Im in trouble, I need a M37 x 3 thread in my model. The tread tool in Inventor, soldidworks, and fustion 360 doesn't have it. And I cant find a 3D model nor dimensions for it. Yes, this thread exists.
Old way I did it was draw the cylinder sketch a circle on an end. Exit sketch. Under curves pick helix set your pitch. Sketch on a perpendicular plane use polygon make a triangle. Pierce center on helix set triangle to thread profile and use sweep cut. I realise this is over a year old but someone new might read it.
Great tutorial. Straightforward and saved me a lot of time. Unlocked a new feature that was right there in front of my face the whole time! LOL
