I understand why ppl wanted Bo Song for her more bcoz he has no flaws when it comes to her. But literally this a drama. It has to have a character with imperfections then improve anyways as the story goes on. This is why i love ALSB so much because the character development is really visible, from the cold treatment into treating her like a princess, Jiang Chen wins it all.
I haven't finished the drama yet. In fact I'm only on epispde 6 but you put my thoughts into words exactly. Bosong's character is like the perfect person but this type of person does not exist. That's why I prefer Jiang Chen too. Sure, he is cold and REALLY bad at expressing his feelings (so far in 6 episodes he is a mess lol) but that makes him more realistic imo.
i think it's so important to note that when wu bosong touches her, xiaoxi absolutely had no reaction, but when jiang chen touches her with a pen to put her hair behind her ear, it's like the world slows down.

He was also cruel a few times out of jealousy (like with the election and play) but they were only teenagers and he was terrible with his emotions as it is at that point. Kids make mistakes. He became much better at expressing his feelings as he got older, and became more open about sharing how much he cared for her. Besides, the heart wants what it wants. She wouldn't have been happy with Wu Bosong because she never had any romantic feelings for him.
