Rory, English is your native language, yet you can’t understand a simple sentence. Besides, Pep he won more trophies that is a fact. He never claimed he has done better than others, that is also a fact.
TalkSport continue to twist what ETH said for clicks and outrage. The man is simply saying that elite football is about winning trophies, he won more of them than other managers in the last 2 years, and hasn't had a trophy-less season yet. We would all make the exact same argument when our job is being brought into question.
They don't give out medals for nice football or 'nearly' winning things.
Elite football is about winning the Elite trophies which is the european cup and the premier league for clubs the size of man utd.
FA Cup and League Cup are great and all but they arnt in the same category as what the aim is.
In the elite competitions last season he was knocked out in last place in his group (behind Copenhagen and Galatasary) in the champions league and finished with a negative goal difference in the premier league with Man Utd.

Emery would fall apart at United, I'm an Arsenal fan and he was absolutely horrendous for us. He lost the title to Monaco at PSG too, and lost a 7-1 against Barcelona to go out of the CL. He struggles at top clubs.

Spurs fan here. Pochettino had Chelsea playing better football last season than ETH. Glasner at Palace had them playing better football. Iraola showed he could do it at Bournemouth. (maybe be biased) Ange had Spurs playing great football. United relied on individual brilliance, and that is due to amount they have spent. Ten Haag has not changed things to make them play as a team, from what I have seen. Though, he has been ridiculously unlucky with injuries and issues with players (e.g. Sancho). It'll be interesting!

3rd place in first season gained CL football coming off the back of finishing 6th the season before under Ole.
Two cup in his first season finals against Newcastle and City, won one, lost one.
Cup final in his second season won against City impressively.
But Emery did better just scraping 4th place while Newcastle and United had to deal with endless injuries, Chelsea basically bought a whole new team and trying to gel didn't work.
