Koreans literally took the Zombie genre to another level, Hollywood have long forgotten what made zombies frightening. 2 years later this comment still holds truths. 4 years is still true!
Absent right this is my favorite show now
soo ture. i am hardcore zombie fan. but americans only make zombie movie comedy coz they think its what world wants. In reality people want zombies as main part of serial not as background of world and put on drama or comedy as front.
@ because they can actually run... walking dead has such a lame pace
Now this how resident evil should look like, not that bs,that there doing.
Nowadays zombies are just an easy trope for writers to create a threat that is both: Ubiquitous in nature but still frightening in their partial humanity. That's it. Coming from a once big fan of zombies, they've honestly been so saturated and so overused they've simply lost their charm. I think the zombie genre needs to take a big break after Army of the Dead releases. Just what I think. Kingdom seems good tho.
South Koreans know how to make things epic. I just finished this show 30 minutes ago and OMG it was freaking amazing. Cinematography, story line the acting. Its action packed with twists and turns you least expect it. The writer is the same writer who wrote the unbelievable drama series "Signal". She is pure genius I tell you. The same director who filmed " The Tunnel" ( loved that movie as well). I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this to anyone.
OMG Signal is one of my all time favourite dramas! Knowing she was writing it, I knew that Kingdom was going to be good.
So hyped for the upcoming season!! I can tell that Kim Eunheer is very talented because the show's continuity is on-point and its plot twists make perfect sense. For instance *BIG SEASON 1 SPOILER ALERT!*
The zombies are actually afraid of high temperature, not sunlight. They hibernate during the day and become active during the night because of the tempurature difference between day/night time. Even though it has not been explicitly stated, the reason why zombies sundenly become able to attack during daylight is that the characters has moved north (if you recall the geography of the locations) and the temperature is lower up there!
Hey bro .. can you tell me what treason did crown prince committed ? And Lord Ah-yeon (oh can't remember fucking name ) and chief guard of palace thing ? I am confused af
It's Korean ? shit figueres they sure as hell know how to make entertaining Drama's.
I've seen countless zombies/infected movies and Train to Busan is by far one of my favorite.

Give us season 3 already! We've waited long enough!
There is a movie “kingdom: Ashin of the north”
It depends on the writer aka Kim Eunhee. She confirmed that she's in the writing process of season 2 of her another hit drama, Signal. So, there's still no sign of Kingdom season 3.
The 'zombies' in this look more realistic than anything I've ever seen in any movies and shows.
I agree, they are crazy real

Personally, I think Kingdom is tens of thousands of times better than squid games. The solidly woven adaptation and the excellence of visual beauty make me thrilled. If you want to see actors acting properly, please watch Kingdom.
you know you can just enjoy two things separately without comparing them, right?
thats no hard task, squid game was okay in season 1 but it got worse and worse with every episode and the finale was actually pretty trash in my eyes.
i wonder how many of the viewers where actually surprised that the old man was behind everything because it was so clear the whole time... it´s one of the worst twists i have seen in a long time.
You don’t say!

Squid game is well direct the but the history is a bit stupid, just rich people being rich?

This makes The Walking Dead look like Sesame Street
Because the walking dead focuses their drama on a group of survivors who were nobodies before the apocalypse. It only uses the zombie apocalypse a backdrop setting for their drama to take place.
This one actually puts the zombie apocalypse as the main stage to revolve their drama around.

As an asian person im shocked but also glad to see how americans and others are starting to realize foreign films can often times put american titles to absolute shame.
I have been watching foreign films and tv shows all over countries for last 12 years because I am deaf. At first, it started out because lack of subtitles on TV so one day, I was bored so I went on youtube and saw someone recommend a good tv show in the comment section on CZcams and asked where can I watch, so it was how I started with this infamous MYSOJU website, but it is closed down few years ago as I heard rumours about the owner of this website was arrested because of copyrights issues.
I first watched Sad Love Song - 2005. 슬픈연가 on MYSOJU and it went from there. I watched so MANYYYYYYY Korean TV shows and films, not just Korean but other foreign countries films as well. I moved to so many websites, they kept closing down as time goes by including dramafever. I fell in love with Korean dramas and films, I just love their storylines, and their acting skills. I honestly don't care much about kpop, I am not koreanboo at all as I am not that interested in visiting South Korea any time soon. I came so far to witness korean dramas and films came on NETFLIX!! it took 12 years for my sister to like this Korean TV show, Kingdom on Netflix, before that, she refused to watch "FOREIGN" TV shows.

I saw the devil
Parasite
Train to busan
The wailing
Now the best Korean movie I have ever seen
The witch: part 1 subversion.
Please watch 'Forgotten'. It's one of the best suspense thriller Korean movies. You won't regret, I'm saying. If you already watched, then sorry to disturb after 1 year of your comment. 😂💔🙏🏼
I agree on 'The witch' can't wait for the part 2
Noted
Try watching “Oldboy”. It has Choi Min Shik, the same actor in I saw the devil. It’s one of Korea’s all time super hit movie
@@keyajadhav7070 Oh wow it's amazing to hear as a Korean that some of you guys know Choi min shik! He is one of the legendary actor in Korea!
I accidentally came across this show after watching 'All of us are dead' but boy did I just witness one of the, if not THE best Zombie series of all time. The best part about the show is that Zombies are only the backdrop of the story while the show focuses mainly on dirty politics, human nature, morality, love, trust and many other things.
One of the best tv series ever...every scene is an art...breathtaking
Ju Ji-hoon an incredible actor
Yes he is, but sucks as a king from running the whole show, just this one. Totally disappointed in him and actually the whole script. For all those who enjoyed ut, it wasn't that great, not at all.
@@chakriyaponn5169 He ain't a King lol. He is just a crown prince who's about to be banished from the Palace as soon as his step bro is born. Did you watch it?
@@chakriyaponn5169 Your opinion is shit bro.
I comfortably finished the 6th episode thinking there would be many more episodes after. Omg I was shocked when I realized it was the last episode. 😂😭 Can’t wait for the second season!!
it's out in netflix check it out and dont forget to rate
This is the first ever K-drama that I have watched in my entire life and I gotta say... Hollywood and western media, please take notes on how South Korea actually pulls off one of the best Zombie shows that I have seen in forever! The Walking Dead can just suck it! hahah
Once you start it's hard to impossible watch anything Hollywood anymore. Also like the Turkish and Spanish. So used to watching and reading subtitles now. Even the rare times I watch something in English, I still read the subtitles.
Check out Sweet Home. I came across that recently.
Now you are hooked, like so many.
@@bigdikbubls One of the few I like nowadays. I grew tired of the others with cringey melodrama and secrets
@@vb8428 I don't like straight up dramas. Has to be paired with some other genre for me but if cringey melodrama is your thing then check out Tyler Perry's The Oval!
Koreans really know how to build tension. My heart was pounding hard watching this. Awesome series 10/10.
Hell yeah, the good guys were always way outnumbered.
