- First of all, the basic difference between invention and innovation should be understood that invention is something that happens for the first time whereas, innovation is a process enhancement. There are other ground rules for institutions and students to understand that would help them know how to approach innovation.
Secondly, some global studies suggest that there are few characteristics that should be in students. Institutions that concentrate only on the marks and percentages of the pass have no scope of fostering innovation on the campus. To be innovative, students should develop an empathetic attitude, which is a basic necessity to understand a problem prior to venturing into solving it. Next, the ability to identify a problem and solving it is important to innovate. It should be understood that innovation never happens in isolation, but when people network. Resilience to criticism and failure are other important attributes iterated, since giving up an idea at an early stage will curb the spirit of innovation, so never kill an idea before it is nurtured.
