    In this installment of R&D Corner, Mark shows how easy it was to flare a first generation Ford Mustang Fender - and the tips and techniques can be applied to any steel fender, regardless of make, model or year. He cuts, grinds, welds and paints until the fender is finished and shining red.

    This channel is great. They may be trying to sell you stuff, but at least it's good equipment and incredibly informative. Much better than all the other chanels with shaky camera's and 50 minuite long videos.

    Thanks for the video, guys. I, as others could do without that high-strung music blasting away as it really serves no purpose on an instructional video. The pace was a little too quick and this leaves me with questions. How much of the original fender lip is cut off of the fender? On a rear fender lip what do you do to the inner fender well portion? Is there a certain method to cutting and then attaching it to the new fender flare opening? Again, thanks for everything.

    Good! as others, your practice shows it very easy, but I think that the clue on the job is the welder, in case of expansion 2" you use the same technic?

    Two things I wish were different in this video. Obviously the first is the annoying music. Second, I wish they wouldn't have edited out the body filler step. It is pretty deceiving to show all the steps except the one that matters most when it comes time to paint. I know that Bondo isn't something that body-men are proud of or want to admit to using but hiding that step is avoiding the truth behind a perfect final finish.

    • @John-ym1dx
      @John-ym1dx Před 4 lety

      I agree brother, the way it was edited made it seem they ground it smooth enough to paint and a novice would not have known that it wasn't.
