I have a Catrike 559 and I love it. It's very comfortable and great for mellow cruising. I ride two hours each morning, about twenty miles.
Thanks for sharing! I love Catrikes the are built so well and made only 90 miles from my house.
The HP Velotechnik Scorpion Plus is another trike with a much higher seat AND with a more upright sitting position. More desirable for seniors who can afford them.
I love HP but my goodness the price is out of sight. Catrike we bought used for $1500
@@BryceLovesTech TRIOT Trikes are pricey too. The more affordable Terra Trike Rover sits high, but it doesn't fold up.That being said, it will fit into a Prius with the seats folded down. Also, the Trident Titan sits high and is folding.
I have to get my Mom on one of these... she never rode a bike before.
Igor Ilyasov The recumbent trike are very stable especially if you have vertigo
If this lady took a test ride in a TRIOT trike, she would be in 7th Heaven.
I'm thinking about getting the villager. I first wanted the trail but, in the future I'm sure I wont like getting in and out of them.
I know they have accessories for than but your still squatting low. This is why I may go with the villager.
I hear not to many people use a head rest? I think I would but would need a low one. I'm 5'4
With your height you might not need the headrest but on a long ride it does come in handy. There are also different types of headrest Utah trikes sell some very nice ones
Hey what is the model of your rear rack bag? My eyes are buggy right now. Awesome trike. Mines coming this 2020 xmas for sure.
The best
Where did you buy the matching jacket? I want one to match my dumont!
Naaman Geist they're not the cheapest up there about specialized make some great jackets www.specialized.com/us/en/shop/specialized-mens/mens-clothing--shoes/mens-cycling-jackets--vests/c/jacketsandvestsmen
That backend of the chain gets so close to the ground.
That is why I prefer the 26" wheel or if you really want to spend the bucks get an internal hub :)
Just one of my personal Pet-peaves is bicycle click in shoes.
CLACKITY CLACK CLACKITY CLACK!
SMH...Its like someone loudly crunching ice cubes or potato chips loudy in your ear.
Its just one of those always annoying sounds to me.
Personally, I ride my trike with regular slip on shoes on my custom made pedal platforms with Fatstraps adjusted to fit my shoes.
I dont see 2k dollars in that
Catrikes and recumbents in general have great resale value due to low build numbers.
A very nice and open minded lady. She needs to test ride a Terra Trike Rover. It has an even higher seat. This video represents the necessary familiarization process that needs to take place for countless seniors to realize that recumbent trikes are perfectly suited for them especially if they are overweight and have balance and/or leg strength issues. Seniors and recumbent trikes are a marriage made in heaven.
Thanks for the advice and thanks for watching
